    Crits on parses

I've been trying to figure out how accurate parsing crits is I'm using Kparser and I seem to have a lot of inconsistencies. What has your experiences been with crit parsing?

What do you mean? Like the parser doesn't pick everything up?

I've been using DirectParse, and haven't had any problems, as far as I know.

I'd be surprised if kparser had any problems either (crits are pretty obvious from a parsing standpoint) although if you're in a busy enough log area you might miss entire rows etc.

it is possible that kparser calculates crit rate differently than directparse does.

Nothing seems to be wrong with my parser. Mostly I was wondering whether other people get majorly erratic crit %s. Also how long do you think you'd have to run a parse to actually get a good idea of your actual crit %. Lately I've been parsing Einherjar runs and everyone's crit % is extremely erratic seems like it's too short a time to accurately get crit % but more or less I'm wondering just how random crits really are.

Don't you get some line skipped in large battlefield (read: with many people) ?

Over a reasonably long parse, I usually end up around 15-16% using DirectParse. Max crit merits, Destroyers, etc.

The only issues I ever see with crit rate on parses are due to low sample size.

I guess it would depend on if he was parsing just his alliance or everyone in the event.

if it's the latter, that's why your numbers are erratic.
