Machinima!
I'm familiar with machinima and have seen a lot of videos that use the technique, but I've never made my own. If you're not familiar with what it is, here is an example of what is hailed as one of, if not the best machinima ever, called BLIND. Watch it in HD!

Another recognizable one is Red Vs. Blue, about Halo.
Basically machinima is
"real-world filmmaking techniques applied within an interactive virtual space where characters and events can be either controlled by humans, scripts or artificial intelligence."
I wanted to know if any of you have any ideas about what my first machinima could be about. I don't really have any ideas yet and I'm open to just about anything. My friend today suggested a group of 5 going to fight Onyxia, and shooting it to make it more realistic, like if the players were actually fighting the dragon instead of how they normally just stand around in game which isn't so realistic (yeah yeah no dragons irl, I get it, but you know what I mean hopefully). One guy could get punted into the whelp pit and I'd zoom in on his face just being scared as whelps start hatching all around him. That kind of thing.
I'm down for doing serious or funny, but I'd love to get some ideas from you guys cause I know how creative you all can be.
Thanks!

If you decide to go with anything using WOW, or FFXI models, emotes, etc, as mechanisms for creation of a movie/video/etc. Just be prepared to vet this with the owning company to avoid legal problems with using their IP.
Other than that, my job / real life has pretty much killed any creative concepts I could give you.

The story I have in my head is a mother reading to her babies bedtime stories. Or maybe the matron of Stormwind is reading stories to the orphans before bed. The movie would then morph into the book kind of and I'd play out some fairy tales with wow characters/places.
So if you can think of FUNNY things in wow which could be turned into a parody of the original fairy tale. Like my friend suggested "The boy who cried son of argual" which is exactly what I'm going for.
Thanks!
