was checking playasia, they didnt have anything on it. Ebay had presells for sale(lol), other places said it's realease date was the 13th of september, generic retailer websites didnt have it either. Ah well, i dont play my pearl as is lol

Just dl'd the JP ROM, and it seems exactly the seem, although a different beginning.

So.. what exactly is different? They're getting lazier and lazier with the third game in a series each gen.

I'm going to wait until I know about all the new stuff to see whether or not I'll get it, but I'm pretty done with Pokemon for the moment. From what I've heard so far:

-New forms for Giratina, Shaymin, and Rotom.
-Some Gym puzzles are a little different, Gym Leaders might have slightly different teams.
-Battle Frontier has all those areas it had back in Emerald.
-Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres appear running around Sinnoh after you beat the Elite Four.
-New Move Tutors.

And yet, you still fight Geobats and Zududes in the first cave. HUR DE HUR DE HUR. Sign me up when they make fight/dark/psychic starters and erase zubats and geodudes from the game forever.

Recording battles and being able to Download/Upload from Wi-Fi.
Updated GTS with E-mail support.
New Battle Frontier with 5 different events to beat.

Faster Battles then D/P
Sinnoh dex now has 210 pokemon with greater typing before the E4.
Giratina, Rotom, and Shaymen all have new forme's.
The option to refight gym leaders at a higher level.
The return of high leveled AI with E4's Second match having pokemon up to level 78!
More move tutors ( Magnet Rise LUXRAY )
A Full 3D area, The Torn World, is added.
You can now catch BOTH Palkia/Dialga
The three elemental birds from R/B/Y are now ingame.
The Three Regi's ( only if you have movie regigagis, no word on how it'll work on english version ) can now be caught.
You now get a "Resort House" you can pimp out.
Rival now has pokemon up to lv 85 at end game.
Frontier Brains return in the new Battle Frontier.

More "Gift" pokemon ( Togepi, Eevee B4 E4, Porygon )
Poketech is slightly upgraded ( One of them is no longer event only, Can now go backwards )
Many areas have had face lifts ( Snow in a few areas, many buildings redone, A few gyms are redone, ect. )
AI is improved GREATLY by endgame
A "Trainer Cafe" to fight high leveled NPC's ( Gym leaders, Ally NPC's ) in each day.
More pokemon via Swarming/GBA insert/Radar/Great Marsh.
Improved storyline ( Cryius = Hitler I kid you not. Even the grunts at one point make it seem he's the second coming of said madman. )
New outfits
Improved GUI that changes based off of location.
Better attack effects/animations.
Better pokemon animations.
New Level up attacks for many pokemon.
HOLY SHIT BATTLES IN POKEMON CENTERS.
No more dismonuting bike when you go though "stations" between towns.
Improved location prompts.
The exclusives from both D/P are not available in Platinum (Murkrow, Honchkrow, Midreavous, Mismagius, Stunky, Skuntank, etc..).
Hypnosis' accuracy has been lowered.
Fantina is now the 3rd gym leader.
Sinnoh mainland colder, Battle Zone is hotter and has palm trees now
Cities and dungeons have had their layout and appearance rearranged (Stark Mountain is now an erupting volcano with molten lava, crags, etc)

No new Pokemon, just more old Pokemon you can find before you beat the Elite Four and everything opens up.
