why suze? if this is for your personal use or "free time" to play around with linux etc. i would recommend ubuntu or at least fedora.

where have you looked for your video drivers? nvidia.com

have you checked your motherboards website for audio drivers? that could be a start.

i'm not familiar with Suse distro. i will have to look into it.

Why suze? well i heard it was an easy distribution to platy with and it seems the case atm. At school we use Fedora 8 and idon't like ubuntu.

on nvidia.com i checked and on my laptop company (Acer) there's no driver for linux.

Check out your hardware specs- Suse has had issues recognizing broadcom cards in the past. You might have to install something like Ndiswrapper. As far as the audio, try using the Alsa architecture driver- tends to perform quite well. Have you tried the Suse and Ubuntu knowledge bases? The Ubuntu base is pretty extensive- and can be applied to non-Ubuntu distributions, Suse's wasn't as helpful when I last installed it.

PS: Why do you not like Ubuntu? Because it emphasizes gnome over KDE? >_> you can use KDE on the Ubuntu distro.

Sorry Rata, I forgot to check this thread until just now But yes the Ndiswrap should help you out in regards to getting your router configured. You said yesterday that it works with WEP right? Just the WPA config. was being stubborn?

Also do you use Yast? If so you can open it and select WPA-PSK and enter your passphrase, the same one that you use in your router.

    Yast link: http://en.opensuse.org/YaST/About
