Code Savvy People - Changing File Associations in C#.NET?

I either fail at google searching, or this isn't possible/documented (understandably so).

I was wondering if there was a method, in C#.NET framework, to alter and add to windows file associations? Essentially like the link describes:

Or if anyone knows of an installer package that can create similar conditions. I'm looking to add to options of an already used extension instead of overwriting it like AdvancedInstaller does


Planning on asking this on more C# oriented forums later, just running out of time before I leave today Figure there's a few code gurus that peruse this forum that might know.
