I don't know how many people follow everything Omar and Cedric do, but there new album is coming out in January. Recently there was an article posted on themarsvolta.com about this new album, The Bedlam in Goliath. Before I write any more, everyone should read the story of the new album:

Simply amazing, strange, and clearly The Mars Volta. I can't wait to listen to nothing but this album for weeks on end.

The leaked songs are fucking amazing. Its like a change from De-Loused, but structured like Amputechture and the whole massive orchestra feel for Frances without the suckiness of Amp.

Pridgen is a fucking beast, hands down.

I would love a headlining tour but I have to say, I went to see them with the Chili Peppers and they were fucking sweet. I would settle for an opening act, but love a headlining tour.

I liked it but we got fucking shafted compared to the rest of the country
they all had amazing shows
we got their first show with deatoni (who played fine don't get me wrong)
but the setlist was
RFT
30 minute jam; a boring one compared to what they can do
Viscera
and we got fucked with the SoaD tour 2 years ago too
that setlist was fine
but we had to sit through Bad Acid Trip
while the other leg of the tour had Hella opening
Hella and TMV = lav's load blown
fuck Soad

Be fortunate that they tour the north east more than south florida, they only came down here for the SOAD show. If your talking about the Vegoose festival, then I have a copy of that somewhere. The set list for the SOAD tour was too short, it took longer for them to change the entire stage from Bad Acid Trip shit fest to their set than their actual playing time. I had to fly to New York a few times to catch them on thier De-Loused tours in 03/04. And when FTM dropped I saw them at the Troubadour. They need to tour SoFL more often.

Yeah I was at continental. What pissed me off most wasn't that they could do better, but everyone around where I was sitting were complaining that they were opening. I wanted to punch some faces in.
