Sprint cellphones

I'm looking for a new Sprint (smart?)phone within the next 4 months. Yes I know Sprint sucks cock, but as of now, I have unlimited text and internet with 1000 minutes or whatever for 4 phones on a family plan.

My current phone is a Palm Treo 755p that I purchased last September; I was looking into a phone mainly for internet purposes (email, web browsing, apps etc). Are there any newer phones out there that are going to be released within that window or should I just default with the shit I have now.

I've been happy with my LG Lotus (got it a couple weeks back). I haven't browsed the internet on it too much yet, but has a nice screen for it's small size (when folded). And full keyboard is nice.

I wouldn't call it a smart phone though.

HTC Touch hands down.

I seriously miss the old PDAs that had cell antennas tacked on after they were designed. While they were obviously a tad crude, keeping the touch interface with a pen was wonderful to use. These newer smartphones that play more like a normal cellphone that happens to be able to run a program are painful to use. :\ [Not having touchscreens.]

Sorta necro but I'm debating between spending money I have now on a Treo 800 off Ebay or saving and buying one of these HTC Pros. Anyone know the cheapest place to find either of these phones past ebay?

I have an LG Rumor and I hate it. These phones keep dying on me. Ive had one for about a year and Im already on my 3rd. The screens fuck up a lot, apparantly.

Oddly enough ive been looking into buying a new phone myself, so ive been doing lots of research lately.

If you want to spend a bit of cash get a Palm Treo 800w or Pro, but if you want near quality of a Treo, look at Palm's new PDA called Centro, theyre pretty good as well. Of course there is always the Blackberry option, but I never really liked them for various reasons, and loliPhone.

Really any of the Treos are great, I prefere the Windows versions over the Palm OSs though. If you dont want to spend a lot of money on the newer 800w/Pro models, take a look at this comparison chart going over the older models http://www.grupo-utopia.com/blog/iso...isonChart2.gif


Now the one PDA that really has a huge bang for it's buck, as well as a great plan, is the Helio Ocean Mobile Phones with Wireless Service | Helio The PDA is a year old now, but thats the only real draw back, though a year ago this PDA was ahead of it's game, and this PDA still does more than current PDAs or atleast matches them.. theres really nothing out of date about it except maybe the look. Their plans are awsome, they have 3 atm 65$, 85$ and 99$, the 65 and 85 come with 500/1000mins, the 99 is unlimited, and all 3 plans come with unlimited everything else. And I really mean unlimited everything else, data, email, text, internet, everything.

The only thing odd about them is they are a online wholesaler, theres not many of them, and a lot of people think it's fishy. They used to get their coverage from Sprint, however now I think they are using Verizon. However just because they are using those other company towers, youre not dealing with Verizon or whoever at all.

Really I cant think of any negitive at all.

But yeah, I first heard about Helio over a year ago when thinking about getting a cellphone, but I really have no use for a cellphone so I never got it. Though I am now again looking at maybe getting a cellphone, and the Ocean still appears to be a clear winner to me. Also forgot to mention that VirginMoble bought Helio out, and there will be a release of Ocean 2 in earlly 09, so take that whatever way you want it.

I can't get approved for plans (credit sucks atm b/c of car loan and student loans) so I have to find a plan with unlimted text/date + Some talk time, on a prepaid basis. All on a smart phone.

I think your AT&T section is messed up. Why are you listing the $60 family plan for AT&T, when it should be the $39.99 individual plan w/ 450 Rollover minutes and 5000 Nights/Weekend minutes?
