So I just got a new laptop and I tried to load POL until it. When I click it to open it I immediately get the error stating "PlayOnline Viewer has stopped working". Was wondering if anybody else has had this issue before. I don't know if running 64 bit Vista has anything to do with it.... Was looking forward to getting back to FFXI this holiday season after a 6 month break!

Download the vista POL viewer and that should fix your problem.

Thanks, I'll search the POL site harder for it. Can I still run my old FFXI CD's or will they have an issue also?

You need to go into each installation folder to run the installer for FFXI and each expansion I believe. You just need the Vista POL installer from playonline.com if you have an older version of the game.

Thanks, I got it up and running. All I needed was (like you said) the Vista POL and the old installation CD's worked fine. Now to run an update which I can only imagine will take until New Years. Thanks for the help.
