Came out on PSN today, anyone else playing it for sheer wtf factor?

For the uninitiated, it's the new title from the brain behind Katamari Damacy, and from what I've gathered (was too lazy to read the built-in manual), it's all about stretching your BOY out and reporting its length to your GIRL, while......doing stuff I guess. It's essentially a physics-based toy, but like nothing else I've played around with before, so for $5 it didn't feel wasted at the least. It's really something you have to approach with an open-mind to enjoy.

The controls take awhile to get used to since the both analog sticks are in use for player controls. Left stick controls head, right stick controls ass. Camera control is set to shoulder buttons via tapping them, or holding and using motion to rotate.

Having fun trying to figure out wtf triggers the trophies since they're all marked as hidden, and part of the fun (for me anyways) will be figuring out what they are without resorting to a damn guide which'll make this thing short lived.

Not sure yet if ill buy this but it does look really really weird, nice to see it's only $5 though, cheaper than most DLC.

I should stress that this isn't really a 'game' per se, and that it isn't no Katamari successor, it's just a weird-ass psychics-toy with a lot of experimenting to be had in.

The game makes use of a firmware feature Sony introduces about...two iterations ago I believe, where you hit the home button, go under Photo, and an option near the top called Save Screenshot will show. It works alright, but what bugs me is that the game locks its controls when you go to take the shot (doesn't even pause the action when you're navigating the XMB) so it can be hard to take a 'good' shot when your BOY keeps wanting to retract/stretch back.

This thing really is quite the toy, I just keep coming up with my own 'objectives' and seeing if they're even capable or not, in hopes it may reward me with a trophy in the end. There's no objectives aside from stretching and reporting your length to the GIRL, so it's up to you to make the game/toy worthwhile in your time spent into it. The maps are randomly generated which I like, spend an hour on one map, and go to a new one which may provide new objects to screw around with, etc.

Currently, I wish they'd patch the controls and give some options as the camera is fucking useless for me once your BOY starts stretching out really long, as it focuses on the 'center' of the entirety of your stretched BOY, rather the head of it which I'd prefer. (at least give me an option to toggle between center, head, and ass).

If anyone can find a way to 'knot' your boy so you can stretch without worry of one end going loose, I could really use a hand in figuring out how to do so easily as there are a couple contraptions in the game I want to test something out with.

[EDIT] Some really dedicated folks playing this given it just came out over here (An NA player ranks first currently), I'm in place 9489 of 18654, so I got work to do. >.>

I would probably not get this if it wasn't only 5 bucks, I guess that's what they're counting on. Looks like a lot of fun ;o

Is the music as addictive as katamaris?

There's hardly any music in the game at all.
