Oh boy, this will be interesting. Complete idiot. Kicked him for being a tard, pretty much. Doesn't know a damn thing about anything. Unfortunately after kicking him we still did HNM with Wizardry so I got to enjoy his stupidity even longer.

Unfortunately I never paid him much mind, so I can't remember some of his epic quotes, but I'm hoping some others that view BG will be able to enlighten us.

Possibly one of the worst RDMs, PLDs, and every other job he has I've ever encountered.

He probably should have mentioned that he was one of the people banned, right after getting his Mandau. No idea how he got his new account, it doesn't immediately strike me as one belonging to a mutual acquaintance, but you can interpret that in whichever way you prefer.

As for Pherbius' character, he's not the worst guy around, he probably won't fuck you over. However, his play skill wasn't all that high. Tiamats he tanked were kind of agonous for the BLMs, and were among the slower ones in Wizardry. There was also an incident with him repeatedly casting Paralyze on Fire Elementals in Temenos, that resulted in a running joke in our shell that he was just "spamming macros"(His own words).

I would occasionally go with Pherb's Dyna LS, Subtext subtext.tk (it's one of those shout member Dyna LSs).

Never struck me as the most amazing of linkshells to do it with, we mostly ended up plowing through mobs based on bringing massive numbers. I'd imagine that was the goal though, to get max money. He sure was dedicated to getting his currency, that's about all I can say.

His intrepidls website is pretty funny though. And he was most definitely banned, so he is moving over some other character, not what you'd see off ffxiah.

I've known Pherbius for just over a year. Great guy, loves to do HNM and is very active in camping. I'm usually the first to try and cut people up, but Pherb's a good player.

I don't know what Minnich has stuck up his vag, maybe him and Pherb had a bad ending. However, seeing as how Minnich hasn't seen Pherb as of late, I wouldn't really say he's the best judge of skill nor character.

I miss you Pherb, plz come back and solo tank some more 9 person Lambton Worms ; ;.

I don't see whats wrong with asking that question. Up until last month, I was "loling" when I saw a BRD using ES+Elegy. I always thought Elemental Seal worked with black magic only.

I'm torn here...

I agree with Minnich for the most part on Pherb's skills.. he's not the most skilled, but he's far from terrible. He does have top notch gear for his jobs, assuming he's still using his original character and didnt have to buy one after the mass bannings. I do wish I had the screenshot of him asking if he had to close out the map in order to refresh widescan. I did find that humorous

and like Lilswitche said, pherb's playtime is really good and he does have the drive to go to anything and everything.

But yea I thought he got the hammer, not unless he's using his mule, any more info on what jobs he applied with?

All-in-all i'd say give it a shot, I was gone while he started up his small HNM shell on valefor, from my understanding they did relatively well.

I have known Pherb for close to a year now. Even while in opposing linkshells i never saw anything to suggest he was incompetent or lacked skill. I had the opportunity to be part of the decimated ls prior to the bannings and he carried and conducted himself well in both skill and time played. Would be a great addition to any ls that is serious about endgame events.

Before I was in Intrepid with Pherb (and lol LM-17'd) I was always told that Pherb was a douchebag and people often talked shit about him so I generally went with that. Never knew him, just went off what other people told me. When I actually started playing with him though, my views totally changed.

Pherb's a great guy, knows strats, knows how to play / gear his jobs, and has extremely flexible playtime. This guy was about addicted as I was, on when I woke up in the morning and didn't go to sleep till bout 5-6 AM EST.

All the people bad mouthing him are most likely just going off how he was a long time ago or off shit they heard. As far as I know anything Minnich says is from 2+ years ago so take it how you will.

As far as skill goes, Pherb's good at his jobs. Like Switche said, I've seen him solo tank an 8-9 man Lambton Worm. All in all great guy, would recommend for any shell. He's a riot on vent, can take shit and dish it back out. Guna miss playing with you man best of luck on Pandy.

Pherb's plays PLD exceptionally well. Funny dude, good guy.

Cant blame him for the website mistakes since I'm the one who did it. Just never got around to finishing it since the banhammers. Anyways, I've known Pherb for awhile now, hes a good guy. His dedication is far above most people I've met in this game. He'll be a great addition to whatever LS he joins.

Just a tidbit, my experience with him goes from when I came back to Valefor in Nov. '07 - Aug. '08. I have nothing personal against him (nor do I have a vag to have anything stuck in, thank you very much). I just never considered him a good player. This is my opinion after seeing him play and hearing him talk about game mechanics for almost a year.

When I first came back to Valefor everyone in the ls would tell me how bad he was and all the stupid things he's done. After I became leader again and people wanted me to "clean up the ls," I defended him at first and gave him the benefit of the doubt due to how gung ho he was. But day after day he amazed me at how many stupid things he did. From him and Jifrulond saying Ares Body is worthless, to just his bad tanking.

As a person, I'll give him he tried to be at everything he could and was always willing to do stuff, but as a player... he left a lot to be desired.

What you'll get from Pherbius is an average all around player, with subpar tanking skills, and someone that will most likely be on at all times. It's really up to what you're looking for, I guess.

My impression of him was always closer to Minnich's than Lils's but I was never in an HNM LS with him personally, so that impression is based on second hand reports I had from friends who played with him more. Kind of surprised by all the good reports on here. Maybe he did get better?

Pherbius was in my LS years ago, and at that time he was 7 kinds of terrible. There is even a running joke about how he CFH on our kited kirin....twice.

However, in the years since, I have seen a drastic improvement. His skill has greatly improved, it's as if he sat down one night and read every single article about FFXI ever.

I also had the pleasure of meeting him in real life at Fanfest and I had a blast. A very good guy, inside and out, and a sarcastic bastard to be sure. I think he would be a very good addition to your shell.
