Qufim Isle Manaburn?

Today when I was power-leveling a friend of mine through Qufim's FoV I noticed a group of black mages "manaburning" the crabs/pugils. I asked my LS and some of the people on my friends list, and nobody seemed to know much about it (granted, it was like 4am) except that it was very good exp.

I saw one DD, about 4 BLMs and a RDM+BRD PL. who I'm assuming were being in rotated in for Refresh/Ballad.

Does anyone know how this works? They were level sync'd so wouldn't that eliminate the possibility of rotating in high level refreshers?

I searched this forum, and all I could find were guides through qufim on worms for DDs. I'll definitely be leveling SCH for a sub if not a main in the next few weeks and would like to know if this would be a quick way up.

I did it way back in the day with I think cor/rdm/4blm. (rdm was for leveling up to 75, so I would have picked something else if not) It may have been better than a conventional party, but was nowhere near the xp you get once you get AM spells. (plus missing the elemental staves and AF1 hands screws your magic accuracy regardless of merits)

I did things in the 20s mostly the same as I did at any other level. (keep nuking until something dies)

I'm guessing those people were just leveling jobs like rdm and bard for when they actually would become useful at later levels in the burn.

I manaburned my BLM from 11-37 before Level Sync with a BRD75 PL. It was probably better than any conventional party. It was very quick and easy to swap in the BRD, I just had one macro in invite him, have him join, give us double Ballad, and drop. We virtually never ran out of MP since we were getting 3 MP/tic Refresh and spells at that level only cost like 10-30 MP. Although its impossible to do this now if you Level Sync so you'd have to find mages who are all relatively close to each other.

You're not getting 300 base experience for a kill at Yutunga levels without a ring. The cap per kill only increases to 300 at L51?

It was a four person party vs IT+, Signet would add the rest I believe.

BRD/COR/Dia/melee eating food will destroy any other setup in Qufim. But that being said, any idea what the manaburn xp/hr was like?

Grab a staff, some Rice Dumplings, sub Dragoon, and join your friends sync-burning through Qufim.

sounds crazy, but my friend subs COR while Dualboxing and PLing us. damn near anywhere for COR Roll. and now with lvl sync you can still brun on Qufim. We stand in a big circle and cast on the clipper

I was makin about 30k+/hr* in qufim the other night. Was pretty bad ass. But that's thanks to our BRD. (*Note: this was from a friend who had expwatch going. I know I know, but I went from 18-31 in about 2hrs or so? was pretty epic. I will have to parse the exp next time to make sure I'm not exaggerating, but it was DAMN good.)

Seen ~150 people in Qufim during JP prime, which is when I get off my night shift at work and when I've been exping. A few friends and I did essentially the same thing in Korroloka Tunnel, found a good camp with about 10 crabs and 2 pugils and got slightly slower exp 21-26, but at least we didn't have to deal with massive overcrowding.

Not with ring, I think we were just fortunate to have an open camp for song long. Our BRD kept pulling stuff to us, and the pt was RNG* BRD COR DRK DD Synch. RNG + DRK + COR = LOLz.


*I was on RNG, and I have pretty much the best gear for the 18-23 lvl span, so I was tearing it the FUCK up.

For BLM manaburn, you usually want to have 4 BLM, maybe a tank (or randome melee sync bitch), and some support (RDM SCH COR BRD). The real core is the 4 BLM though. if you have plenty of sync bitches at 21, go 21>24 (once you hit 24 find a new one, or better yet, have one waiting). you could perhaps stretch it from 20 > 25, but the xp isnt going to be as good until you have Thunder, and will drop off when you hit 24 (maybe more pugils could help).

Last time I did it was about 7-10k exp/hr. Not the awesome PL'd worm parties, but still pretty nice for BLM.

Lower Delkfutt's Tower

Start at the Goblin room to the right of the entrance, and make your way up to the floor before the portal to Middle Delkfutt's. When you get to that floor, just make your way around the room.
