Looking for good PC games

I've been playing COD4 for the last year and a half now and since summers just around the corner im going to have a bit of time to kill.

My PC is Single Core 2.4, 2GB ram and NVIDIA GeForce 7600.

This obviously limits what i can play, especially recently released games.

I've already got UT, Orange Box, GoW, and COD4 / 5

I was looking at Left4Dead, Bio Shock, F.E.A.R so any opinions on them is appreciated but im pretty much open to any games, not just FPS.

How many old PC games have you played?

L4D and FEAR are both great games. L4D has great multiplayer, and FEAR's campaign is one of the best I've played (though I liked the first's much more than the second's). The original FEAR should run fine on your machine, though you'll probably have issues running FEAR2 higher than low quality. You'll probably have to turn the settings down a bunch for L4D as well. I've been playing UT3, CS:S, FEAR2, and L4D since I got banned from FF.

If you're an RTS fan, the Supreme Commander games were really good, though the sequel is coming up on a year and a half now. I haven't played any more recent RTS games though, since I've gone back to good old Starcraft to get my fix in and refresh my memory of the campaign before SC2 comes out. That being said, if you want to mess around with old games, Starcraft and the Warcraft series were amazing games that have earned timeless status.

Fallout3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Left 4 Dead are all excellent games worth picking up.

Many of the D&D based games are good. Older ones, like Planescape Torment or Baldur's Gate series are highly regarded. Neverwinter Nights series are also solid, NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer is probably the standout there in more recent years.

If you haven't played Knights of the Old Republic, or Jade Empire for that matter, then those would be good to look for as well.

Deus Ex is good too if you never played that, and your rig will max it out easily.

Could look at GOG.com in general, since it's all older stuff, so should run fine. You can pick up classics like the original Fallout games, Freespace, Beyond Good and Evil, etc.

If you like vertical scrolling shooters you could pick up the Touhou series where you are surrounded in Bullet-Hell.

In addition there are a bunch of independent fighting games you might want to check out that run on the MUGEN engine.

Also if you like visual novel computer games I would pick up Shingetsutan Tsukihime or Fate/Stay Night.
