Apperintly my crown is thinning, and I dont fall into any of those myths of balding, so I guess im just unlucky.
Anyone else starting to bald/thin, and is there anything you can really do about it?

Cut your hair
Or stop being 30.
If you were starting to bald, you'd probably know it.
If you're just suspicious.. then perhaps you've got a few years left, find a girl before you lose it all.. The clock is ticking.
Just fight the urge to leave the dead weight behind in a time of crisis, you may need her around for the purposes of repopulation.
you're not going bald. you're just growing taller than your hair
There's a new treatment out there to help with male pattern baldness:

the only known method to stop balding completely is castration
Get Rogain. Srsly.
Learn to accept it. Start shaving your head or keeping it extremely short. Unless your head is alien shaped, then you're fucked.
No cure for thinning or balding hair. Your options are hair implants, which are expensive but your insurance might cover it, deal with it and embrace the glossy dome, or shave it off. Rogain sucks, I am 24, I used it for 2 months straight, it filled it in a lil, but if i stopped for a week my hair would stop growing, and the naturally weak hairs in that spot would easily just fall out. Plus its like 60 bucks for a 3 month supply, that is expensive. Sucks dude, tell me about it, just find a short hair style that works for you, or say fuck it and style that shit the mr. burns way.
Due rag
For me, I've been getting my hair cut from a barber. Since I'm black it makes it easier to 'line up' my hair and it doesn't look like I'm balding what so ever.
My brother went bald at 14, my father is 60 and has an afro...so I don't know what's going on.
I've got a similar problem, and I noticed it quite a bit when I was about 23. I'm thinning at both the crown and at the front, I know I'm going to go the George Costanza route and end up with the horseshoe balding.
I tried rogaine (well, the generic stuff not the 'actual' stuff but it's the same medicinal ingredients) for like 6 months and it didn't do anything. It would seem that, because I'm losing my hair at both the crown and the front, rogaine won't do anything much and I'm not at the stage where I want to try propecia.
Luckily, my hair seems to have stopped thinning for a bit and by growing my hair longer I can easily cover it up. (Just need some strategic placement of hair with gel or hairspray in the morning at the crown lol) I have accepted the fact that I am losing my hair, which was a big step, and know that by I'm in my mid-30s - I'm 25 now - I'll probably have to just shave it entierly or keep it trim.
If you've always kept your hair short, but not necessairly buzzed, then try growing it out and seeing what you can cover up easily. However, if you're getting to the comb-over stage, then it's time for all of it to come off. But, longer hair can cover up thinning early on. Short hair really shows thinning, so do try growing it out if you can.
For me it was always quite the opposite. It wasn't to noticeable until I grew my hair longer that I had been balding. But I guess it all depends on your hair type.
It's hair, why does it matter?
Because society vis-a-vis the media sets a standard of a full head of hair as the standard for attractiveness for men?
If you can be so secure in your own physical appearance that it really doesn't matter then you are a better man than I. However, I can't make that claim for 99.9999% of the rest of people I'll meet so it's tough.
I always thought Rogaine had to at least help a little, the way it's advertised and a common term you would think it had Viagra effectiveness.
If I were you and really cared about my future look, I would search up projects the hair doctor people are working on and see if any of them look plausible.
Get a cowboy hat or one of those caps with a fakeass ponytail.
If you are shitting money, then get transplants. Else, accept it and learn to live w/ your baldness...
I've always found comb-overs incredibly sexy.
The only solution is to shave your head, put on a hospital gown, and start running down the street with your ass hanging out.
Well, it works for this dude anyways.
