    BLM/RDM sky.

    Quick Question Here:

I'm wondering if it's possible/plausible to solo Despot on BLM/RDM. If it is possible what kind of gear would I need (aside from the obvious Enfeebling Gear and HQ staves). Thanks if anyone has any info on the matter.

Only thing you really need is normal solo gear to kill PHs, and some form of gear refresh. Herald Gaiters will be helpful too if you have them.

Soloing the PHs is easy enough, just make sure you have fresh blink/ss up after each kill in case Despot pops. Use a lamiabane to pull PHs, or just sight aggro and run if you have movement speed+.

If Despot pops, if you have movement speed+ just kite it immediately; else ele seal bind it to give yourself some breathing room. Bring it down to either lake near the entrance to Brigandish Blade. Use that lake to kite, at the south end where there's no magic aggro do bind, poison2, bio2, then keep running. (If you have no faith in your enfeeb skill set, just do a single DoT then run) Use whatever gear refresh you have to regen the MP you need to keep DoTs up. It can also be gravitied if something goes wrong.

Shouldn't be very challenging, Herald's Gaiters will help but aren't at all necessary. Pretty much if you just can land bind or gravity on him upon pop you're golden which shouldn't be too hard as he hardly resists anything. As said in the previous post you can just drag him to the pools down the stairs, he is such a fatass down there, his pathing is absolutely horrible and you should be able do kite him as long as you want without even movement speed.

You could probably easily pop DoTs on him and just wear him down like that, should take like 45 mins maybe, or if you got faith in your enfeebling setup you could probably pop few binds and make it go faster with a nuke or two. Don't think I've ever gotten resisted on him as RDM so with a decent enfeebling build for your BLM it should be a breeze.

I have a decent enfeeb set on BLM, need a few pieces but i should be cool.
Also i have 4/8 HQ staves atm, the ones that i really need for BLM : Aquilos, Jupiter, Auster and Pluto's.

You can outrun him easily by running around the pond without any movement+, you cant fuck up this fight unless you success to get magic agro or dc.

a black cloak - ES bind or gravity on pop, run to either top of ruavitau entrance east or the pond down by the port back to hall of the gods entrance and kite around, use bio only when you have a decent lead, get mp for bio through black cloak(40/2min, bio is 36)

having a good enfeebling setup(say 290-300 with HQ staff) will let you reliably bind/gravity him to speed up the fight by starting with a bunch of nukes.. but honestly he could be soloed with nothing but the cloak(and maybe not even that if kupower refresh works in skai).. guy I know has soloed it on DRK without movement speed if that says anything

bind+gravity-> rest works well to speed it up. starting with no more than 100 mp (i solo the PHs 3-4 at a time, so i never have much extra mp left when they die), i can usually down it in around 20 mins or so. with this gear (and 6 enfeeb merits) my bind lands probably around 80~90% of the time, and gravity never resists. bind could certainly be better, and i get a fair amount of half resists (which are quite annoying for resting unless gravity is up), but it works well enough.

just make sure you never get too close, because 2 panzerfausts will usually kill you (3 with stoneskin, or if you don't use sorc ring, etc).
