    Tails of Woe

Due to excessive self-PLing I find myself with a ton of Beastman seals burning a hole in my pocket.

Since Blitz Rings have gone from 5k -> 700k in the time since I've looked at them (probably 3 years) I figure why not go for BC if it's feasible.

Anyone have any strategy that doesn't require BST? BC looks fairly retarded tbh, I'm not holding my breath.

I would imagine it's nearly identical to the mandy version. BRD sleeper. Healer / backup sleeper, 4 DDs. Keep the DD's away from the AOE spam.

Ask around though, a lot of people have a level 40 BST. You really don't need HQ gear to win. BST/WHM subs helps since it can be AOE spammy

Kinda vague, although I appreciate the input.

I have no idea what the mandy version is. Also, about how hard do the babies hit for / boss hit for? Is whirl claws going to 1shot people without shadows? I think I read that they were immune to sleep / lullaby - does anyone have maybe approximate HP of babies / boss?

Any winning stories / strats that aren't BST? First hand obviously.

Steamed Sprouts/Strategies - FFXIclopedia, the Final Fantasy XI wiki - Characters, items, jobs, and more
Is the strat I was speaking about.

    To paraphrase it..

    BRD/BLU w/ taco + minne + Cacoon

    Elegy Harry

Horde Everything as the Tank pulls Harry down the hill and DD's beat him down avoids Harry's AOE spam on the BRD.

RDM Silences Harry then keeps BRD alive.

While little rabbits are slept, BRD reapplys cacoon.

BRD resleeps everything when they wake. Single sleep if anything partial resists / resists entirely.

Tank pulls smaller rabbits one at time. (may take a bit since enimity is bad at this point).

If you have a ton of seals who cares if you lose?

Not sure why more people don't do this. Blitz Ring is either a good drop rate, or my group was just really lucky, we went 3/6 on it.

I know you said no BSTs, but you can do it without 6 of them, we had 3. NIN, BSTx3 and 2 mages, I think. NIN kites the boss around, BSTs each charm a rabbit and sick on another rabbit, should be one extra, which can be slept. You can open with a sleepga or lullaby in case someone mis-charms.

loooooooooong long ago, when an erase drop meant you could either buy whatever you'd been dreaming of or be set for a month or 2, I used to do this a lot, with a really fun setup:

I would go summoner, with 4 bst and 1 leech. We never lost this, ever, in waaaay too many runs to count, including getting as ridiculous with it as smn + 2 bst + nin when we went with 5 and one of the bst dc'd while entering.

Basically, I would send shiva at harry. As she was charging in, the bsts would charm. When the first round of charms went, I'd sleepga on harry. It misses harry, but it would have all the others slept, including the ones that failed charm if they were still close enough.

From that point, it's pretty much a complete joke. Shiva's sleepga is 90 seconds and I never had it resist one other than harry, ever, and it would generally last the full duration.

All the bst together jump on one target, they should kill it before harry can kill shiva + a bunny on his own, so you put the bunny that was tanking it onto harry, etc.

ez ez ez, and pretty highly entertaining

and yeah, blitz ring is very high drop rate from it, I don't even want to think about how many of them I sold for 3-5k
