lag issue

unsure where to actually put this, so feel free to shift it if req.

since sunday ive been having seriously wierd movement problems with the game to the point its become unplayable, tried again today and still get this problem....LS member actually dual-logged me into dynamis last night and also had the same problems on my character whilst his was working perfectly...

now before all the 'its your connection etc...', like i said, it was dual-logged by LS member with same problem and i spent all day playing counter-strike with no ping issues

before you say 'g-card problem' i played BF2 today with no problems....its just a FFXI issue

its odd....it lasts about 10mins.....goes for about 30mins then returns in cycles

as you see....usual crap response (and yes...the GM almost got that brogame reply....as both /t's came at the same time)

so anyone had the same problem or have any idea before i waste a day speaking with tech-support???

Is the only thing that comes to mind. It's usually stupid little mistakes like that.

If you're having actual lag, then I have no idea. It shouldn't affect your character at all. Him using your settings, and you setting your Frame Rate low, is all I could think of.

On a serious note, I use to have the same problem. I turned off my computer for the night, logged back on, and everything worked fine.

you tit Yugl....i stopped using AOHell ages ago (and prior to that it was the cheapest ISP we had in the UK for the 'upto 8mb speed')

Massimo, thats exactly how my settings are and like i said in OP, how can it have this lag on my character on someone elses PC in their house when their character (also logged in) works fine

stupid thing is.....my FPS drops to 2.3-3.5 during this random lag then picks back up to normal after about 10mins

You might want to try again without telling the GM you're having other people log into your account.

Since you didn't seem to notice, it should be pointed out that he started out sounding friendly and helpful and freaked out and tried to get out of the conversation ASAP as soon as you said that.

well just spoke with tech support....

strangly more helpful than a [GM] (go figure) and he logged my character in but didnt get any slow-down, he was actually more understanding when i said a LS member dual-boxed it in dynamis, because it helped him understand the situation more and that it wasnt anything to do with my game files/PC

he doesnt know whats causing this either and said if it still is happening on friday to phone them again and he'll get someone from s/e dev. (i think he said) look into it as he said it could be a corruption on my character or it might be ISP related but couldnt say for sure

on a side-note...damn s/e tech....they dont get brogame/brosale tells on atomos (though he did say thats there is a way to block them using the unofficial windower which did make me laugh)
