Black Swan (MC: 79, RT: 88%)

Yes, it's an lol ballet movie.

But it's directed by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, Pi, The Wrestler), and looks just as trippy as his other movies. And it has Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman making out, which isn't likely to hurt the box office on any movie. It's got a (limited) release date of December 1.

It's Darren Aronofsky so it's an opening night movie for me.

Sorry for the necrobump, but I'm surprised no one posted about it since it came out. Got back from seeing it last night and definitely a great movie. Not quite as accessible as The Wrestler, but better in my opinion.

Most people have posted about it in the best movies of 2010 thread. Also, just in case you haven't noticed, Stadium 16 and Showplace East started showing "The King's Speech" (they weren't showing it at opening). I'll probably try to catch it tomorrow.

Most of Black Swan talk happened the "the best movies of 2010" thread.
I for one didn't like it.
It seemed a bit slow and the creepy parts were too far apart and some were just way to obvious to be creepy. But then, that's probably not the kind of movie it was trying to be.

I saw it. Thought it was weird. Not my kind of thing really. I didn't see the point.

I noticed that last night which surprised me since I assumed Evansville was just going to pass it over. Hoping to see that and True Grit next week before they're out of the theater.

How creepy/scary is this? My fiancee is interested in seeing it but isn't into scary movies inthe least. Suspense she can take.

Movie was horrible. The girlgirl scene wasn't worth the slow pace

saw this a few weeks ago, really liked it. It was pretty different from what I was expecting though. It isn't scary at all, mostly suspense, maybe a little creepy. It has a lot more intensity than you'd expect, but it's not scary.

The script was excellent, if you like good movies watch it, if you prefer movies which don't involve thinking, skip it.

This pretty much, I don't see how anyone could call it BAD, it had great cinematography. Not for everyone though I suppose, don't go in thinking it's gonna be really scary or anything.
