I'm glad they listened to the focus group + survey, I hope this results in some better fort action.

Meh, was hoping for 1.5 hours, but 1 is certainly more workable than .5 was.
I was starting to get used to 30-minute raids, but I voted for 1-hour and I think it'll be just right. They fucked up and went to two extremes but at least they got it eventually lol
Forts are now 1 hour? or starting next wednesday?
nvm found it
For lower forts, 1 hour is way overkill, but for upper forts that should be perfect. Definitely a lot better overall than it is currently
ideally they would have different timers for lower, upper, and divine, but i guess that's just not possible
30 mins was fine for lower, 1 hour will be good for upper, never even tried divine so dunno there. 2hours for lower and upper was stupid.
Divine already has a seperate timer than the others (1:55 as opposed to :35). I don't see why they couldn't add seperate timers to lower and upper forts as well.
The question I have is...
Will they still be 2 hour blocks of vulnerability/no vulnerability? Or will we start to see 1 hour cycles?
I for one would really like this stuff to be more fluid and not blocks of time.
At the rate it's losing players I seriously doubt NA Aion will ever take Divine fort. It's irrelevant.
An hour is too long for lower forts and even for Roah/Asteria, really. Bloodburn forts should be an hour.
Still 2 hours.
The point of 1hr on lower forts is too allow random non-full50 legions to take lower forts while the big boys are fighting up top.
Also, losing players rly?
My server is only getting more active, seeing something like 200-300+ on each side at last nights sieges.
isisnt telemachus a EU server?
Yeah but are EU/NA markets that different?
idk nobody has real figures on server popularity outside ncsoft.
They only ever released a few EU servers, but they stupidly added more NA servers during the first two weeks of release, when any common sense would of told them ppl will leave. So while the EU population is pretty tight, the NA is spread amongst like 10 servers. I dunno, Vaziel can still bounce forts back and fourth, just Elyos have kind of stopped caring to do forts since most elyos legions are in conflict over QQ'ing world bosses. This one hour timer may re-ignite things though
The biggest zerg legion on my server is dying and basically every single one of the top 10 legions are scrambling to find new members to replace the ones they're losing.
BG has kinda of given up trying to find new ppl to replace those they lost. You need to look to mid/high 30's, because ppl 40+ alrdy are being recruited early.
Heh, i joined Corvus with around 10 of my friends from FFXI. I'm basically the only one of that crew left playing, and even then i haven't been on my main in weeks. When i do log on my main to give myself some kinah, i notice a lot of people leaving/joining from the legion list. Honestly i can't really relate to some of the kids in there, so i just level an alt.
Forts don't change hands on Ariel much at all. Maybe one fort changes every 2 or 3 weeks. Elyos has had Sulfur for at least a month now, probably much longer but I wasn't keeping track... Lots of Elyos are getting really frustrated with it because it's blocking them from finishing their campaigns to start on Miragent. It sucks that Elyos has controlled it for long enough that a lot of people have leveled from Lv25 (when the campaign is first available) to 50 without ever getting a chance to do it. I really hope this change at least helps the asmos take sulfur away so I can do the campaign on all my alts... Can't wait to see how many people do that campaign when we finally do lose sulfur...
Bump, just wondering what people thought from the first night of the new timers?
We had a longer defence the first siege, and then Asmo faction forts were available to attack , so we managed to capture Kysis. ( we'd got it down to 10-20% previously several times but always perma -50% damage scrolled ).
What was strange was that one of my legions forts ( Sulfur ) was available to attack - the Asmos didnt realise their defence wasn't going to work, and that our legion was on the fort boss - they should have ditched the defence and gone and taken our other fort.
Silly asmos.
A lower fort changed hands on Kaisinel, but I dunno if a weekday fight is a good time for conditions in upper to change any. I'd been keeping an eye on artifacts just to see if anyone was trying to make a push from either faction, but nothing really out of the ordinary took place near Klawtan or Miren when I saw them vulnerable.
Think momentum will need a bit more time. People got used to not bothering because the timers were prohibitive.
