Need TV Savvy info (for canada)

Yet another how about this TV thread.

OK i am moving out in my own appart in April and i wanna change my TV (currently an old 27inches that is not HD or not even flat screen)

What i am looking for is a good ACL TV if possible 40-42 inches that is not too pricy

Can come from sites that will send it home or that i have to pick up

I'm personally not a fan of Dynex, the stuff seems to break or have one issue or another with me. My friend recently bought this: http://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/t...ail&returnurl= for about $550 it works/looks great.

I have a model that is very similar and it is damn near perfect going on 3 years of use. The only issue I do have is the fact that it is a dust magnet, and needs to have the sides wiped down every few days or so. Its your call, but I really like Samsung, Sony, and LG for TV's as they have a very good history of delivering good products that last a while.

dont fucking cheap out on a TV, dynex is fucking horrible. u can get a decent 40" toshi or samsung for 600CAD+tax

Don't know if they ship to Quebec but this website has sometimes nice week deals that future shop has pricematched.

He's right on the "don't cheap out" part, Dynex is kinda poop for most models.

Watch for sales, look for older models of brand names, research the models. If you think this is a TV you'll have for a long ass time, spend more.

That said, i'd say go bigger than 42". I really wanted a 42", but once I had one, it's pretty good, but I wish I had a 60... Maybe in a couple years
