Today we’re excited to announce that Limit Break Radio and Pet Food Alpha are teaming up to relay the latest up to the minute coverage from this years VanaFest 2010 event in Tokyo!

We’ll be discussing the announcements as they become available from the NA and EU community team members reporting on the event. Aniero and Fusionx will be accepting questions and thoughts via our channel on VanaChat and via callers on Skype! We’ll start broadcasting February 28th at 2:00AM EST. Our stream server for the event will have a 100 person limit, so make sure to get there early and secure your spot! We’ll release VanaChat and stream information the day of the event.

For those who are unable to be present for the live event, we’ll be releasing a podcast episode featuring all the announcements and discussions.

Don’t sit in front of your computer mashing F5 all night, come listen to the stream and chat with us!

It will probably be an audio broadcast+pictures on Skype, which is why I'm trying to suggest http://www.coveritlive.com to them. Pretty much the perfect tool for this kind of thing.

Hey, thanks for the re-post!

Firstly i'd like to clarify that we will not actually be at the event. We will simply be relaying the information released by the teams out in Tokyo. We do think though that this will be a much more exciting way of covering it instead of just letting everybody spam refresh on the website for information.

Our current SHOUTcast server that we are looking to use has a limit of 100 people. I'll look into using Ustream for this as well to accommodate more listeners if needed. We'll also have our IRC chat going on during the event that you could join. If you are unable to listen to the live stream we'll be making the audio available shortly after the event (will take time to edit and clean up a bit, but we'll get it out as soon as we can!)

If you're using shoutcast, how about giving priviledged access to people that could proxy it for a bunch more listeners? This could go down bittorrent style using streaming proxies.

I'm going to be going as press for ZAM. We were messing with ZAM's Facebook and Twitter, but in the end I just decided set up another Expeditionary Force for the show like JP Button did for Tokyo Game Show. Corinth is going to be in the area, so we'll be hanging out and trying to see some FF-related sights and post some comments/pictures/videos. We will both post to the CoverItLive feed, which will be embedded on JP Button and on FFXI @ ZAM

Like TGS, it'll be more of a "fan's journey" kinda thing since the Community Team is going to be on top of things at the event. So if you want to check out the trip feel free to take a look. Afterwards, I'll be putting up a recap, probably get a podcast done and take a look at any interviews that pop up on JP sites.
