First Xmas my girlfriend and I got each other Futurama vinyl figures from KidRobot. I got a Slurms MacKenzie and she got Fry. Can't wait for more Futurama.

I think they just said that to get news relating to Futurama. Almost positive the entire original cast is still doing voices.

the story was, fox didn't want to pay the voice actors' huge salaries, so they got new actors. Fans were in a huuuuge uproar, and fox caved in like two weeks after it was announced.

Now whether it was all a publicity stunt is up in the air, but in my eyes futurama doesn't need a publicity stunt.

Good news everyone! IGN reports that a premiere date is set.

The wait is almost over, Futurama fans, as new episodes of the series are set to begin airing this summer. An announcement on the official Futurama Facebook page revealed the month we'll be seeing the return of Fry, Leela, Bender and the rest of the gang, stating, "Heads up, Futurama fans! All new episodes of Futurama begin this June on Comedy Central!" According to HitFix, Comedy Central says the premiere for the first new episode will be Thursday, June 24 at 10:00 p.m.

So they got the original voice talent back? I knew that was the last major hurdle in making new episodes. I didn't know they'd started production though - this is good news everyone indeed!

Ya, I think it was at comic-con(?) they announced they had all the old cast returning. Can't wait for this to start up again, and so happy they're not on fox anymore.
