    What the fuck. (Chapter 12)

I spank boss battles but this stupid fucking giant turtle thing has kicked my ass over 10 times in 15 minutes.

What is this stupid shit, I can't even get it past 50%. It kills all my dudes in like 3 stomps and a quake...even with 2 Medics.

    How to win????

I never used medic, just rav / com / rav and don't stop hitting. You can also spam death, although I only got that to work once and that was when I was weak enough to need it. Not sure how people get that death trick to work.

I'd recommend starting off with a com / syn / sab. Buff yourself and debuff it right away then switch to rav / com / rav and as long as you have decent HP or HP stacked items you shouldn't have to heal.

If it's the turtle I think it is you don't need to kill it...

It gives me a cut scene and then automatically engages the turtle.

The stomp move does about 1200 and quake does even more...I don't have enough HP to keep up.

If he's lasting through the first stomp and actually able to fight it for more than 8seconds then it's not the adamantoise with the chains, it's the adamanchield or whatever.

Pretty sure you can skip almost every one of those, there is one where you save that soldier think thats a forced fight.

Get haste on everyone, land deshell and imperil, keep a dedicated medic and just widdle it down with a COM/RAV.

Its the one at the door correct? Where you protect the guy. I can't recall if you can go back to pulse but if 1200 is doing a lot then you really may need to grind. I remember having something like 8k health at the time and for the fights to come I still felt under leveled. So for not just this fight, but for what is to come I'd recommend doing some grinding.

If that's it then, Idk man, use Sens or something.
I didn't grind until I killed the last boss, just killed everything in the way. If you say you had no trouble with the helicopter boss I don't see why this should be so hard.

Debuffs work really well on those turtles, use a SYN at start to toss buffs up... and as everyone else is saying use black belts/general's belts/Royal armlets on your chars it's really a life saver. Otherwise idk, don't remember that fight as being that hard.

clearly doing it wrong. use fang as your leader. get imperil, deshell and deprotect on it with her. i left one as a healer full time, no biggie. third, RAV. Once you get those on, spam daze, try to stagger it so you keep it from stomping after the ravager breaks the daze. once it staggers, com/rav/rav, and when it gets low, HIGHWIND THE SHIT OUT OF IT

I lost a few times on this as well last night. I did it with Light/Fang/Hope. Landing Slow on it was huge for me. Get Slow up and Protects, though not sure how much Protect helps and switch to Diversity, Rav/Com/Medic. If shit hits the fan I swapped to Combat Clinic to heal everyone back up or use Renew. You'll eventually get it down without your HP dropping too terribly. Make sure Slow is up though!

Sound underleveled to me but I'm probably overleveled

I had to fight one for a mission before I ever did chapter 12 so they were both pretty easy fights

You just have to use 2 medics until you get enough buffs up to fight it properly

    Or, just use an Aegisol

Not how I did it, but extremely sound choice. Daze is a HUGE spell at this point in the game. Chapter 12 and 13 you will get a lot of use out of Daze, Fog and Pain. Don't forget they are there. The Sab AI SUCKS at using them in a decent priority though so you basically have to main Fang anytime you want to use them. C13 you will love these spells so get used to using them now.

Myself, I would do Sen/Med/Syn to start, get Haste on my the party member without shoes, and get the turtle targetting Fang, and then go to town. Sab/Med/Syn, to debuff and get protect and usually an Enspell up and go to down as Com/Rav/Rav. Sen/Med/Med after each Quake will get your health up damn fast with hasted Meds, then swap back and destroy it.

The true key here is to be willing to swap paradigms repeatedly during the fight. The instantcasts from your party members every other shift no matter their ATB is extremely useful if you can play it correctly.

Edit: Oh and when you get to the REALLY big turtle, you can skip it if you choose. Or you can kill it the cheesy way, but you won't be able to brute force it at this point.

Most important thing - Slow (and Haste)

As soon as Slow is up, it becomes FAR more manageable. Use a defensive setup until that point, MED/MED/SAB or MED/SEN/SAB or whatever depending on what is available. After that, buff up, and then build the chain as quickly as you can, occasionally healing. Once it's staggered, blow the living hell out of it. It always got me very low on HP at the start but it's doable after then. Use Renew if it gets desperate!
