    Cocoon/Pulsian alphabet translations (spoilers)

After it dawned on me (from seeing it in and on the strategy guide) that the characters found throughout the game were legitimately translatable and not jibberish, I got really curious about all the crap I had seen written everywhere before I had reached a current Ch.11. Tons of enemies have stuff written on them, the cities are filled with signs, and then things like the Eidolons and Fal'Cie are covered in text. This type of subtle stuff has always fascinated me since playing things like Ultima.

Has anyone bothered to translate any of things you have noticed as you replayed or rewatched scenes? The guide showed the following things as examples:

NORA's cafe` in Bohdum says "Beach House"
The chest of a Behemoth says "Behemoth"
Fang's default spear says "Oerba" and "Fang"
Little signs here and there in Oerba say "school" and junk like that.

From a picture in the guide, apparently the yellow biomechanical wyvern-type mobs have "Cocoon Voldragon no23" written on their wings.

There's quite a bit of this stuff but you would need to be able to pause FMVs to see it, like what the plaque says above Anima when you approach it, which I assume would say "Anima" in Pulsian. Also, I want to know what Barthandelus has written all over his body as well.

err oh wait, nevermind my first post XD

I hope they expand more on the world in Versus XIII too XD I like how they made their own alphabet and stuff. I really love Pulse and Cocoon... forget Avatar's Pandora XD

Well yeah, that's what I meant. I used the cypher in the strategy guide to translate the voldragon thing, but I was more curious about things that were harder to come across like in FMV scenes. I just don't have the time to do a bunch at the moment and wondering if anyone else had been curious enough to translate any little things.

Lightning's starting weapon says "Lightning" on it.
The Nautilus arrivals/departures board has 'Sunleth' 'Nautilus' 'Liner' 'Arrivals' and 'Departures' written on it
Some of the signs inside Paramecia have colors written on them. One found says "purple"
Fang's starting weapon says "Oerba Yun Fang"
    Odin's weapon says "Odin"
Brynhildr has her own name written on her, as well.

    Nothing too mysterious :D

Obviously signs in inhabited areas and characters' weapons would be a lot less "mysterious" than something written on, say the body of a Fal'Cie.

It looks like there's an additional undisclosed alphabet besides the Cocoon and Pulse ones. If you can see the images from the guide showing each character next to their Eidolons, Brynhildr has some different characters written around the hub of her wheels (gestalt form) as well as on the side and hood of the vehicle.

poor lighting/photobucket may make the picture grainy but there are three alphabets:

Chances are the stuff on Brynhildr's rims says 'Brynhildr' as well.

It looks like the same script to me. The wheel rim looks like it reads "Brynnhildr Valkyrea" and the side/hood both say "Brynhildr".

Edit: I didn't see Correction's post before I wrote mine, but the script looks like the same one used in the stylistic shop names. I honestly thought it was a little more obvious in the shop names and hadn't paid close attention to the signs in the environment.

Edit 2: Uh, I guess it's not used in the shops? I don't know, I could have sworn I saw it used somewhere else too. Second-to-last letter on the rim isn't an "e" though, but it isn't an "n" either (although it looks close to it).

    Edit 3: It's "Brynnhildr Valkyrja".

I feel like it's only used on the Eidolons, but I am not very certain. I tried to translate it when I came across that image, but it didn't match either cypher.

Curious, but not curious enough to translate myself, what the purple scrolling writing in orphans cradle says. *hint hint nudge nudge* ^^

I'm not at that part of the game yet, is this in a particular cutscene or part of the stage environment?

    That seems more likely.

Fang has something written on a blue part of her cape that moves with the wind (I don't know what it's called, lol. Kinda curious if it's just her name or what.
