License renewal

So my uncle's white friend gave me some money today, I figured I'd get my license renewed since it expires this may 20th.

Just wanted to know if I had to make an appointment or if I could just go in give them cash and they give me a new license. Would be my first renewal, so yea. If I can just go in, I'll go in the morning.

No clue, but there's a DMV like right next to my house. If I could go in trade em and walk out w/ my new shit, would be preferred.

They'd make me come in and take a new picture anyway? I was 16 when I got my license, 2004, lol. I look a bit different, lol.

Also, I'll be in CA staring in about a week and a half for 2 and a half months, so would they mail a FL license out of state?

You definitely have to go in there, and be prepared for some PITA shit. FL has a thing now where you have to have so many forms of ID including your original birth certificate when renewing your license. You only have to do it this one time supposedly. Next time you renew it, you should need less shit.

Are you going to be staying in CA? Because you'll legally need to get a license there and might not be worth the effort to get the FL license if you're staying in CA.

My face matching up w/ the original license won't cut it? Bleh I'm not gonna be able to get ahold of a copy of my birth certificate and all that shit before I leave to CA.

To get a state ID or driver's license, even if it is a renewal or replacement, you must come in armed with your original birth certificate or passport, Social Security card and two items mailed to you that contain your address.

Oh wtf, yea this won't be happening it seems. I know my SSN of course, but I don't have the card. I don't have my orig Birth Certificate, and the mail man hasn't delivered to my house in 4 years because of the dog, I get my stuff mailed to a friend and then pick it up there.

I'm assuming you didn't read the last couple of posts? lol If that article is true, I can't renew it, I don't have the documentation.

Asked my friend if he renewed his license yet, was able to do it online w/ just his social number and his driver's license number and have it mailed to him. I guess I'll take that route.

Can I enter cash into an ATM like I can a check? or will i have to go in the morning to deposit my money before using my card?

Most ATMs these days will take a cash deposit, some don't even require an envelope anymore either.

Eh, was speaking from a NC standpoint. I went about a year before renewing my license in a vain attempt to not have the "under 21" on it, and when I finally went in I just had to pass an eye test and pay like 20 bucks

Simple enough, took more time to type in my credit card number than anything else online. Just needed last 4 of social and driver license number. Should get my new one in 7-10 days, but had it sent to my CA house just in case it wouldn't get here before I moved. And mine won't expire till the 20th so I'll be good w/ the one I have till then.
