Which airlines are hot and which are a pass these days? I've heard southwest offers 2 free checked bags. Are they the only ones doing this?

Who is good/bad w/ losing and handling of bags?

If you can go with Delta, go with Delta. Honestly, they're the most reliable company I've found (and I fly a shit ton).

When I go to Dominican Republic, its always Delta. I use to use Spirit, but that airline lost my luggage fucking twice in a row. Fuck them.

Also keep in mind, you're paying for quality. If you go on a cheap flight, you'll get cheap service, which unfortunately means they probably don't give 2 shits about your luggage.

I found a Delta flight for $150, non stop, but it's $23 per bag I want to get checked. I found a southwest flight for $167, two stops, but only 1 flight change, w/ 2 free bags checked.

I enjoy southwest, although they could use a little more leg room for tall guys like myself. You'll be hard-pressed to beat their prices, though.

It looks like the deciding factor will be whether I need 1 or two bags worth of shit. Same price 1 bag delta vs 2 bags southwest but delta is non stop. I'll evaluate that sometime tomorrow.

Each airline has it's ups and downs, doesnt really matter who you go with, it'll be different the next day.

I was using priceline and orbitz earlier, neither of them even listed SW at all for any flights, and luggage is also an issue, which isn't displayed by the sites there. Even if I booked the cheapest, could potentially end up paying more than SW if I require two bags to be checked.

I'll check out the other 3 though, and see if they give better results.
