So i was wondering the best option for a graphics card for this build.

ASUS P6TD Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX
Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz
Corsair DDR3 PC3-10666 6GB Triple Channel Kit

SEAGATE 3.5" 1.5TB 7200 RPM 32MB Sata II
Corsair HX Series 850W Power Supply

I really have to suggest dropping that HDD. Seagate is notorious, still, for the failure rate in their drives over 1TB. Hitachi 1TB drives are like 69.99. Srsly get like 4, and run it in RAID1+0 or 0+1 (or 53 I guess, depending on your needs.)

You may want to step up the RAM to 9GB just so you can claim you have more RAM that those silly peoples with 8Gigs.

As far as a video card, it's really entirely up to your gaming habits. Since you only have this post, can't really tell what you'd be using it for.

I was thinking of a 5870 or a 5850 for my card.
As for price limit.. i guess 600ish?

5870. You can run anything u want. Our builds are pretty close, this is what i went with. And no problems outa anything. That motherboard is nice as fuck.

How do those fans hold up?
I was thinking of doing water-cooling.

I guess i'll go with the 5870.
Also maybe SSD for windows 7

5850, since you can easily, easily overclock it on par with a 5870 whereby the end result is 100$ that you get to save
