keep getting random Disconnection

anyone facing this problem? never happened to me before...

only after the latest update..i was about to 2hr on SAM to finish off Moogle Boss, and now i DCed cant log back on..

takes me up to actual game, where it says "Downloading Data..." at the corner...but the screen stays black and then DCs again...

Yes I've seen several things like that in the past few weeks.
Random disconnection of 50% of our people in Dynamis Valkurm regardless of EU / US /JP or Connection.
Random Red Dotting myselfe while still being in game, chatting over LS about my Red Dot and fighting monsters.

Random red dotting of 25+ characters in Dragons Aery right after Fafnir popped, all from same Linkshell... oh wait... I think that's not related.

i have this everyday and i don't complain. why the hell would i? a game that supports you for going out and punching everyone in the face you see is awesome.

tbh the main Reason i got disconnected so much was the PC of my Roomate. Since he controlls the Router he has the power. but he seemed to have like 1 Bizzillion Viruses on his System and had so much network connections at the same time that it just would overload the router and he took down my connection everytime.

Servers are distinctly flakey at the moment - I'm going through periods every day where I drop to almost r0 for about an hour off and on (and it's a bastard when you die on BST cos of it). Everyone in LS reporting having problems as well so there's some shit going on there.

Have someone you trust log on as you and then move you to another zone. Or move yourself from another computer with a different internet connection. This has been a problem I have randomly had like once a year for the entire time I have played FFXI.

You probably have tried this already, but have you tried basic stuff like resetting your Router (turning it off, leaving it for a bit, turning it back on) etc? Sometimes these small things can fix it.

Anyone plugged into the router can log into it, can even force a restart from that.

at least twice a year the entire country's internet goes down or is reduced to 26kb/sec for prolonged periods of time (upto 9 weeks in 2007)

The company boasts that they make billions in profit every year, but truth is they are a monopoloy with poor services and customer care.

The only other ISP in the country is partially owned by them . . and is strategically marketed as the weaker competitor. They created their own rivals in order to show how superior they are ... fucking crooks
