Cancelled Order, but I didn't cancel...

So I've had SC2 pre-ordered from Best Buy's website since early may. And on Tuesday I received an e-mail my order was cancelled and it even says so on my account at bestbuy.com, but the strange thing is even though they claim to have credited my card(debit card) it still shows up as an authorization on my online checking account.

I suppose I should call Best Buy, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this trouble before?

Refunds on check cards don't usually show up as quickly.

My order is still in as far as I know.

Sounds like they had more pre-orders than actual copies coming into the store. As for them crediting back your card it will probably take 3-5 business days to see that credit. I'd go ahead and call them to make sure.

Yeah I looked at some of the info on my bank's website and it states that it can take several business days for changes on authorizations to occur. I decided to use Customer Care online to ask about the cancellation, so they're supposed to e-mail a response sometime. Pretty crappy though that I've had it pre-ordered for more than two months and my order gets cancelled.

I'd be surprised if they didn't have enough copies to cover all their pre-orders, especially on a huge game like SC2, but that's the only reason I can think of that they'd cancel it.

Unless you're trying to get some special deal by preordering the game (like the early Beta codes you would get from gamestop by preordering or something), or you want the special edition, there is no reason to preorder the game. It will be abundantly available everywhere day of release.

Beta codes were actually exactly why I pre-ordered. After this nuisance from Best Buy I'm probably going to just order from Amazon for release date delivery. Once my supposed refund comes through that is.
