Absolute nightmare fuel.

There's a an important stylistic element of difference between cartoonishness and reality. Cartoons are eccentric, abstract, and simple looking. When you get somewhere between that and real live human beings the effect is creepy and unsettling. If you're going to make them cartoonish with big orb-like noses and stubby digits then don't give them realistic touches like pores and wrinkles. You can't have it both ways. Ugh.
