    Does the PIE stat mean that enfeebles don't need MND or INT?

    Hi, I can't play the game yet, so hopefully some of you have tested this already.

    Is 14 different than 11 in that you don't need to stack INT for spells like Gravity, Blind, Bind, or MND for Slow, Paralyze, Silence? Will they (and the Absorbs/Siphons) work normally with only stacked PIE?

    I'd like to use these enfeebles/absorbs on my marauder, but it wont be possible if I have to spend points on MND/INT because I need to put as much into STR/DEX as possible and only have so much I can spend on VIT/PIE.

    Thank you for any answers in advance.

    I think (hope) gravity, bind and silence will all work without MND/INT and just high PIE because they weren't potency based in FFXI. Of course then their duration might be effected... I'm not sure if slow and blind have potency levels in 14 but absorb acc, atk, def, eva, TP/MP and paralyze will probably be potency based.

    Also, in 11 you needed high mind for stoneskin to do more, or int for spikes to do more dmg. is it like that in 14 with those kinds of enhancing spells too?

    In beta, stats didn't seem to have any effect on Spikes. Instead, the damage seems to at least partially depend on how hard you're being hit.

    So with the latest info release from the developers on Lodestone http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...5e1bf4ab725f29

    They don't mention anything about enfeebles. It leaves me to believe that absorbs and enfeebles would be in the same category and no MND or INT is needed.

    They said:

    Intelligence (INT) Increases damage dealt by magic attacks
    Mind (MND) Reduces damage taken from magic attacks & Increases maximum MP
    Piety (PIE) Reduces chances of your magic attacks being resisted & Increases your chance of resisting magic attacks of others

    Offensive (attack/counter) INT
    Healing, Defensive MND
    Absorb, Damage over Time (DoT) PIE
