    Macro limits all ready~

Well maybe not limits, but annoying.

Given 10 slots only per, so thats not even enough to switch over to a job and fill up all the slots. Im currently using 2 macros for each job.

It might not be as bad now, but later on we'll have to go back to pressing macros multipule times, granted it wont be every other second, just whenever you want to switch jobs.

With 30 actions to fill, and 20 equip slots, youll need 5 macros per job change.

So imagine down the line youll have 30 actions to use, and 20 equip that dont carry over well from a mage job to a melee, or a melee to a land, etc.

1 macro to change your main and 9 other equip, another macro to change the rest of the equip, and 3 more macros to change 30 actions.

At the moment I use 1 macro to change my main and a couple other equip, and another macro to change 9 abilties. For ex ALT1&ALT2 switch me to GLD, ALT3&ALT4 switch me to miner, so and and so on for the rest of the 10 'main' jobs. Im guessing them hand jobs only need 1 macro to change the 2 weapons, but down the line adding in some + equip traits, actions, etc.

Also no copy/paste feature make this annoying. Unless I didnt see that option to copy/paste a whole macro, and not just a line of text.

I could copy and paste in OB. You have to highlight the text (use mouse) and it should turn pink/purple. Then you can ctrl+C/V to copy and paste on another line.

Well, you can add like, 25,000 thousand lines or something insane like that so maybe SE will patch it in a future update to allow more than 10 of those lines to be active?

Was talking about the whole macro, like in XI.

Yeah I'm almost positive its not working as intended and they havent noticed. If there really was a 10 line limit you wouldn't be able to write more than 10 lines like when you hit the limit in FFXI.

Or they just limited it for the time being. Would make sense imo.

Why? (aside of the usual "to ease server load" which seems to be the cause for most of game's problems).

    Servers can't handle more.

    4 trade slots only too.

It's just like when they limited the game to 30fps, although this is about servers and not the game engine but the same principle.

Also love how long it takes to execute 10 commands, takes like half a minute to do.

Yeah, that was my thinking as to why they don't just save action bars for each class and swap the action bar when you swap your weapon. Because of how long it takes to remove and set them all in the first place. lol
That's what they really need to do, though.

Aren't these the "super retail servers that will be able to handle massive loads" servers that everyone was claiming would solve all of the game's problems come launch?

I kid, but only slightly. I can't imagine them trying to put the blame on server stress. My personal opinion is probably more of the same spaghetti code that they had in FFXI, that takes them a long time to notice.

Honestly though, does SE have an official forum or somewhere to post bugs? We're still seeing some wonky skill gain allocations, and I'm hoping that they didn't just push the idea of feed-back forums JUST for alpha/beta.

pretty sure they made some actions slow and unweildly on purpose because they dont want the game to turn into macro spam/ almost botting the game like FFXI

far as the servers i think they are using em very different, i notice very little lag even on a super crowded server, how ever! a lot of wierd probable lag related errors with mob claiming and other things, almost like they got strong servers for battle itself and weak ass crap servers for claiming and other such things that matter but are not as obvious when they lag

Oh gee, I wouldn't have thought you'd have an opinion like that. Thank you for sharing.

This section has become entirely too predictable.

Macro and Inventory limitations seem to be the only things actually stopping someone from leveling and fully utilizing every single job effectively. I'm sure in time both will eventually be expanded upon...but still it's kind of crappy at the moment.

Do macros still give the "Unequipped this" and the "You Equipped that" messages? A simple "Item/Ability slot changed" message would be more then enough for a confirmation message.
