PS3 PSN log in problem

I got signed out, and when I try to log back in, it says my password is incorrect, which I'm 90% sure it is correct.
I go to "forgot my password" but all I get is "an error occurred" anyone else having similar problems?

PlayStation Network will undergo maintenance tomorrow, September 21st. Maintenance is expected to start at just after 8 am Pacific and will last for several hours, until approximately 5 pm Pacific. anyone try the Blade Kitten demo yet? I was going to give it a try but I hear the game isn't as good as expected. Definitely gonna pick up Deathspank but most likely on xbox cuz that's what I played the first on.

Half price PS1 game this week is International Track & Field, meh. 5 bucks for Mega Man 10 seems pretty good though, and if you have PS+ you can get Savage Moon for 5 as well. Otherwise this is kinda a meh week. I'd be more excited about Swords and Soldiers but I still haven't even played it on wii.

I tried Blade Kitten. The controls are a little choppy and the gameplay is average. Although, I like the climbing mechanic and the main character is kinda charming and a nice change of pace.

I didn't like Blade Kitten, and I tried to like it. 30fps cap makes the game feel slow for a platformer (and the visuals aren't pushing the PS3 at all), the controls are extremely sluggish from a standstill as if you were on ice (even the characters' animation seems confused). Demo stage is just the one bad guy to destroy over and over through the 10min it'll take you to beat it. Game's animu style is also ever-present during gameplay thanks to the health indicator, so if you can't stomach that, then it's a pass. Combat is just button-mashing square, which doesn't feel satisfying since her blade just floats in the air and has no physical contact with her outside of those slow-mo attacks that seem to randomly occur when I *don't* need it.

I also wasn't a fun of the game trying to be clever/cute in the cutscenes (which the game cuts in/out of jarringly during gameplay), I was kinda hoping for a more serious take. Only thing that game had going for me was the ability to scale any surface because of her claws. Game would have been a blast as a full-3d platformer if the controls were tightened up.

Pretty sure they mentioned in the maintenance that online connectivity will remain up, but the PSN Store/Changing Account Info will remain down until maint is over.

I don't Sony can afford to have the value of its stock drop by taking down PSN entirely for a day for maintenance because of the userbase backlash of 'waaah we deserve the service to be up 24/7 even though we don't pay a dime for it!'.
(PSN+ users don't count)

I was pretty pissed. I was trying to log into the store on release date for demos for the first time in at least a year and was getting the "incorrect username/pw" message. I figured all online for PSN was offline so I couldn't play burnout or fat princess either(again just getting into playing them for the first week in about a year). I thought the "Check your internet connection" message was as outdated as AOL...

That said, I understand there was alot of adjustments out for Move. I DL the new platform version Mon night, when the servers were down tues I was surprised...

Stuff purchased off PSN requires a validated PSN account, even when offline. Your account getting the password rejected probably set off the DRM, requiring you to have to log back in successfully for all your purchased products to work.

I thought the "Check your internet connection" message was as outdated as AOL...

PS3 has a built-in connection test under the Network settings.
