Sonic Adventure XBL/PSN (and more Dreamcast Classics)

Lose your dreamcast and all of your dreamcast games including SA 1 and 2 expect the CD cases? Feels bad man but thankfully it looks like it's coming to Xbox live and maybe PSN too.

A Netherlands-based Sega fansite recently posted a titillating report received from an anonymous source, who claimed Sonic Adventure would soon be running at breakneck speeds onto Xbox Live Arcade. Accompanying this report is the image seen above, which, in addition to listing the game itself, also mentions an "extend package," which ... well, which we can't say out loud without giggling like schoolchildren.

As psyched as we'd be to see the azure rodent make a not-terrible appearance on the 360, we're going to treat this with as much apprehension as we can muster until we hear something official from Sega.

If it doesnt come out on PSN I'll shoot myself i swear. (To be honest i'd LVOE to play SA1 or 2 on my PSP. I'm sure it has the capability to run it. I think they would just have to take out SA2's multiplayer. If not on my handheld then whatever lol

there's a few Drecas games i'd like to play. One thing I hated with SA1 was only allowing us to play as Super Sonic for one fuckin level..same thing with SA2.. what the fuck Sega.

Would be even more awesome if the versus option(from the Gamecube, it better be there) supports online play. But would definitely be nice, it's one of the main reasons why my Gamecube is still even connected. I disconnected my Dreamcast once MvC2 on Arcade came out since that's the system I had it for.

Would be nice if they stopped shitting all over the Sonic series and went back to the engines more like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. For some reason Sonic Team thinks that they need more speed and stupid ass gimics. Sonic Unleashed was so disappointing. And that Black Knight shit, come the fuck on.

I can't understand how developers don't look at what was received well by fans (Nothing basically since SA1/2, unless you count Dark Brotherhood which was honestly the best sonic game that came out since then, and was created by an entirely different company), and build off of that. Why go in several different directions, especially when none of them work? And then CONTINUE in that direction?

I don't know if Shenmue has aged well, but back then it was the shit. You'd have to play it in context.

Each game is based on the original Dreamcast incarnation, featuring all of the gameplay that older players fell in love with, whilst allowing a new audience to discover it for the very first time. The games incorporate all-new enhancements and features such as high resolution visuals and surround sound. Online leader boards are now implemented, allowing players to compare their skills with friends across the world! In addition to this, all-new Achievement and Trophy integration will be available for each game released.

Crazy Taxi (1)Launched in Europe on October 14, 1999, the SEGA Dreamcast is one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed consoles of all time. Featuring a software library of over 650 titles, the system was widely hailed as being ahead of its time, and was the first to introduce online console gaming, with Internet support for games through an inbuilt modem.
