On November 3, this new look will be mandated (aside from color/background image tweaks), and the old Monaco theme will be completely removed by Wikia, the hosting corp for the wiki. FFXI wiki (and all other wikis they host) have no say in the matter.

Edit: To clarify, all wikis/users have to agree to the new terms of use, which includes these restrictions. Users can modify the look locally (as I've been doing), but admins are not allowed to make global changes (at least according to the Wikia staff blogs; the actual terms of use do not appear to actually mandate this restriction, but if Wikia staff treat it as if it does, that pretty much trumps it unless you feel like going to court over it).

It's the lack of updates that bugs me.

This is a link, from the MAIN PAGE, and it hasn't been updated IN OVER A FUCKING YEAR.

Basically, it's reached the same state as a few years ago, where you used somepage for general info, and alla for specific scuttlebutt.
Now it's BGwiki for general info, and otherwiki for the odd specific item, and like alla, you'll be lucky if you get anything useful.

I'm sure there's more, but just picking out the best bits and saying "DERK Y U STILL USE THAT DERK" when there's a plethora of unusable material isn't cause for an argument, it only reinforces the point you're not trying to make.

Pre-75, other wiki beats BG wiki hands down, no question about it.
Post-75, neither wiki seems to be really updated anymore, so we're screwed in both cases.
So back to forums for all your intel again.... like the "good" old times >_>

I'm growing weary of sites that don't design their output to scale to your resolution. Otherwiki's new look is annoying if only because I have like 300 pixels on each side of the page that's wasted by fucking trees. The previous sentence also becomes a 4 line paragraph.

I missreaded all and thought there wasnt going to be another skin aside from the new one and that was a problem, my eyes were bleeding allready looking at Magian Trial tables ...
