Keep my SLI, or get better card and use the other for physics?

I'm trying to figure out what would be the better route to take. I currently have 2 480 SC's in SLI (OC'd on air to 50mhz faster on both core and shader), but one 480 SC is available for step-up (for 5 more days lol). While I am curious if it's a good idea to stay w/my SLI setup or step-up one card to the 580 and run the other as physics for now, I also am curious about running a single card in physics in general. Are there any advantages to this compared to SLI, or is SLI always the better route to go? If i did the step-up I'd buy another 580 in a few months, but it wouldn't be before the end of the year.

You're really only going to see gains in games that utilize Physx which in all honestly right now that number is small.

The question I would ask is what games do you play?

Also, IMO you would probably be best served to just point the Physx process to your second card (not dedicate it) since you have such a beast of a card in the 480. If you really are intent on going to the 580 I guess I would say go for it but the gain you are going to see will be negated with a single 580 vs your 480 SLI setup. I currently run a 470 SC (slightly overclocked on both) SLI setup and there isn't much I have thrown at my rig that they couldn't stand up to admirably except for something like Metro 2033, of course. There again Metro 2033 will cripple even the biggest rigs out there >.>

TLDR - Keep your SLI 480's IMO
