    Abyssea Spreadsheet

I have recently spent some time making an easy to use Abyssea spreadsheet for my linkshell to track all KI progress and to centralize all the information we have regarding NM weaknesses. I realize all this information is readily available on otherwiki, but it's just a small bonus. You could also add your own sheet that tracks Empyrean Weapon progress.

I use a primary color scheme that's easy on the eyes, and the cells will automatically switch color depending on their content:

    no text = white
P = crimson red background, white text (We use this to track personal KIs)
any other text = a lighter tone of the color than the one used in the column

Make sure you familiarize yourself with Color Rules before you expand the number of rows. It's simple but makes the spreadsheet look very nifty.

The spreadsheet is available on Google Docs. Just click on "File", "Make a copy..." and save the copy under any name you want. You can allow your sackholders and co-leaders to edit the spreadsheet (as long as they have a Google Account) by sharing it with them.

I think is a really useful spreadsheet. One thing you might wanna consider adding, though I'm not really sure the best way to implement it is, would be the VNM portion of the zones. They can be quite useful for getting the cards in the various zones.

do you think this would look better if transposed? because some zone you may have a lot of NM, and eventually you would lose the name column, and plus its better to scroll down instead of sideway. Plus, you can rotate or vertical text player's name easier too.

just some thought, great job, beats mine completely.

I made a copy of La Theine and transposed it, let me know what you think.

In any case the name column will never dissappear because it's locked in place on the left side.

I also have something to offer if people are interested.

You can add/remove people using the web interface, as well as I have an external program that parses your chat log for key items obtained through boxes.

Yea, the program reads the player obtaining the key and then automatically updates the website. It works great, but is pretty much limited to box farming. If you get a key item from a NM, the player that gets the key needs to be running the parser for it to add automatically. He was talking about adding a /echo command (ex. /echo add kilik mossy adamantoise shell) that would add a key item to the site, but im not sure if he did already. It made Tahrongi emp farming so much easier.

exactly, it echos after someone obtains the key item to verify that the website was updated, you can instantly refresh the site and you will see that person obtained the key item.

today I added a light counter to keep track of lights, but i have not yet added the commands to easily add key items using commands in game.

below are some ss, i did echos to trigger it.

I'm very interested in this pop item tracker, as it is difficult at times to get people together or forum posts updated quickly enough for a complete tally on all key items. Would you mind sharing it?

we use a web-based tracker as well: http://dryrootls.com/abyssea/

it used to be chaos trying to figure out who had what, so dazusu made this; it really helps.

Something like this would be amazing, I'm a long time reader of BG and something like this would be so helpful when it comes to tracking things down. I've tried spreadsheets in the past but they can be a pain to keep updated and such.

If anyone wouldn't mind sharing the coding for this concept or whatever, I would greatly appreciate it.

know what I could use, a god damn poster size grellow chart to hang up in my computer room. I swear I'm scrolling up and down a random text document so many times while fighting something.
