You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

    DDR Pad ps3

So, we just bought the ps3 DDR 'cause we missed playing it and found out it seems like no where in stores can you get an extra pad (without the game obviously) Of course they have wii and xbox ones! .

Anyways, it's been a long ass time and apparently red octane was shut down a bit ago, and I can only seem to find the official pad here:

    http://www.ddrgame.com/dance-dance-r...onami-mat.html

Which makes us only save about 8 bucks if we just bought another bundle lol (because of shipping costs).

Hey $8 is $8, but I'd figured I'd ask to see where people got theirs from. I don't want anything fancy, we are both fat haha this is just for fun and maybe lose a few pounds while we're at it. So please no crazy hard $80 ones. I'm looking to see about getting it for cheaper not for more. (a store that has free or low shipping maybe?)

We're also not against getting a nonofficial brand if it's still good and same price/cheaper.

We however don't wanna do the universal/ps2 w/ adapter thing because from reading a lot of reviews it seems like people have a delay with it, and that would be extremely frustrating for me.

Omfg redoctane went down??? Nooooo, i had redoctane pads, ignition and none, easily the best cheap pads one can get. I'm not to sure about others honestly. I used to have modded soft pads as well.

Best thing to do w/ cheap pads is place the pad on top of plywood and sandwich it with a tile floor protection mat. A slight bit pricey. But they make cheap pads last forever. Make sure you flatten the pad well with the plywood and use packaging tape to press it down and keep it nice and flat.

You can use cardboard cutouts on the corner to raise the corners + middle to keep the buttons sunk in to give it the arcade feel. Kinda wish i had pics, i'll see if i can find any mods when i get home from work. But it'll make any cheap shitty pad into an extremely useful one easily w/ that mod.

You get what you pay for when it comes to DDR pads. You pay for 8 dollar pads, expect lots of pad misses until the thing just breaks down completely.

I don't even think they make the "cheap" ones for the ps3 tbh. It looks like those companies just make ps2/wii ones and then sell an adapter for the ps3, but there's a delay when you use it so fuck that. I don't mind paying $40, I'd just like to avoid the $9 shipping if possible. Not that big a deal but there are a fuckton of places that usually give free shipping so I figured it's worth a shot to see if someone knows a place.

    I always love a bargain if I can. D:

Could get the bundle and trade it in somewhere and maybe break even.

How is PS3 DDR btw? I've yet to see many reviews on it, and given how fucking long the PS3 has went without a DDR, I'm somewhat expecting it to be a decent rendition of the series. Granted I get the feeling they didn't bother making use of the additional BluRay disc space to slap an asston of songs on it though.

Shame I can't play it at my place though, this house is too old for someone of my size to be stepping frantically about in.

It's like standard DDR, and ya there's only about 20 songs on it sadly, they must be whoring on dl content like guitar hero.

It's terrible. I don't think Naoki even had anything to do with it other than a couple of songs. They focused more on the move controller than the actual dance steps and the interface is blindingly horrible.
