VNM's don't pop claimed to the player that spawns it?

This is the third time a JP has stolen something from me. They love stealing shit if you're lowmanning. I was soloing Amun and it deaggroed while Kiting at 5% and they stole and got KI and all the seals I needed after I solo proc'd red/yellow.

Simple solution is don't deaggro a mob when fighting it if people are watching you. That shit will get stolen regardless of NA or JP if it's a contested mob.

Regarding the VNM thing, were they also trying to pop it as well? Maybe they had a popper /heal on the VNM the same exact time you did and it caused some kind of spawn unclaimed glitch.

The JPs said they lost KI too. I didn't believe them, is nthis a known glitch? Would a GM or SGM be able to reimburse my KI?

I have been seeing strange things going on with claiming things as of late. Sometimes I'll /ra something, and it will claim to a different party in alliance rather than my own for no apparent reason. As far as I can remember that hasn't happen before, or if it did I never noticed.

I've seen this happen personally, though fortunately it was only a tier 2 pop. We both /heal at the same spot at the same time, and though 'A monster appears' showed up on my screen, they got the claim. Weird things happen with lag and simultanious attempts to pop I guess.

While doing garuda's the other day, 2 people with T2's in my group knelt at the same time, both got the monster appears message but neither of them upgraded luckily. I'm wondering what would happen if two people got the message in the same party and the abyssite upgrades.. might make farming T3 sets quicker.

Yeah there are a lot of glitches that can happen during simultaneous actions. Personally have experienced someone getting stuck in nyzul for both going up at the same time, and getting stuck in abyssea after getting booted out for trying to conflux as the timer hit 0.

I was wondering if you popped with sneak? In the past I've seen trade pops spawn yellow when sneak popped(Thinking of a specific example with the worm in Kuftal Tunnel, Phantom Worm or something? ), was wondering if it mattered for VNMS as well.

Hm. Ive had some issues with T3 VNMs but never them popping yellow.

Popping Lusca the last two times, I had an issue where it'd spawn red to me but refuse to chase. The NM got stuck on the cracks or something but it'd randomly spin then finally chase after unsticking itself after some random interval of time. Thing is, I have dragged larger mobs through the same area without them getting stuck.

Possibly just a Xzomit issue? Idk.

Also had someone pop a Tristitia where it open with Thundaga IV and hit the target then immediately depop. The person wasn't dead, someone else had tagged it but it just decided to fuck off and despawn.

I've had this happen to Lusca countless times now but also have had this issue with Ketea and even Tristia stuck against a tree near a wall closer to conflux 6.

Sucks that it happened...and while my suggestion may sound like JP dickriding, consider latency advantage...if you and JP are competing for a VNM3 spawn, next time let em have it, and just wait 15-20 min. It's not like they'll have another pop item :D Better than you and the JP kneeling at the same time, and you losing your KI.

about sneak playing a factor, I'm pretty certain all these NM's are classified as TS.

Chiming in and agreeing with the consensus you lost claim due to simultaneous resting. Had my own Ketea pop purple and aggressive to a BLM in our alliance the other night despite it being spawned by my stone, so there's gotta be some scrambling in the way these things determine exactly who it was that popped them.

Sorry for your loss, though.
