Well basically what the title says, looking to upgrade my PC and just wondering what I should upgrade first and upgrade to what.

What is your current system not doing well enough? What you have there is still relatively recent.
My inclination for a current build would be to wait a few weeks for Z68 boards to hit, and pair that with an i7-2500k and a decent cooler to overclock. There are better GPUs, just depends on how much you want to pay.
If it's just seeming a little sluggish, maybe consider an SSD or something, a fresh format + one of those will probably net you much zippier performance without overhauling your whole system.
If you're more an AMD fan, Bulldozer should also be out relatively soon if I recall.
I have my OS installed on a 40GB SSD and everything else is on a 1TB HD, but ya my system seems sluggish even after a fresh reformat. I just did a driver wipe and installed some new ones so hopefully that makes it a little better.
off-topic question. If I had the wrong amount of RAM installed in my computer what results could that give?
Ya my system seems a bit sluggish even after a fresh reformat. I'm currently running my OS on a 40GB SSD and everything else is being installed on a 1TB HD. Just did a driver wipe and reinstalled up-to-date ones so HOPEFULLY it makes things more smooth.
Also an off topic ?. If I had the wrong amount of RAM installed on my PC what results would happen? Crash more, or nothing?
EDIT: sorry about the double post first one wasn't showing up.
If you have unmatched pairs of memory (i.e. different speed or size sticks on the same channel) then it will run in single-channel mode, which is a bit slower. You can do oddball amounts without a problem if you wanted and still get it to run dual-channel.
What is sluggish? Like which game or app or w/e is slow? If the PC is slow all the time something is wrong that you could likely fix.
Firefox, and when I click on apps like MSN Messnger and open them its just a white box for a little bit and then finally shows up.
