BG Auto: why is my engine shooting blue smoke?

So i just changed the oil 2 days ago because it was my car's due time. However, now my car every morning when i go to work it shoots and excessive amount of blue smoke when i start the engine, any reason why? I know blue smoke is oil issues, but i'm a bit worried because of it. I know i have to purchase a new engine head gasket cuz it's leaking a slight bit of oil, dono if that's the prob. Thanks for any help in advance.

Another note i forgot to add was that that same day i changed out the spark plugs. If it is the oil leak then yea i need to get that new gasket on sunday then. D:

Not sure if changing the plugs did any more damage. I think the gasket just went. =/

Blue smoke, caused by the combustion of oil, can more frequently be caused by damage or wear to the piston rings. As the rings wear over time they don't seal as well and let oil from the cylinder walls into the combustion chamber. Usually happens more when the car is cold because the rings, like most other seals and gaskets, haven't warmed up and expanded fully yet.

If you've had your head gasket blow or leaking recently the block or cylinder sleeves could have warped a bit and that's where oil is leaking in. However, a leaking head gasket might end up leaking oil through from the head, though I would think that white smoke would be the more likely symptom with a leaking head gasket.

Bottom line, this could be an expensive repair. If after getting the head gasket changed you're still blowing blue, it'll probably be the piston rings or something else more serious. Unless this car is worth a lot to you, just prepare to dump lots of oil in it and look for something to replace it.

Blue smoke = engine oil getting into cylinder and mixing with fuel air. Comes out blue past the tail pipe. Check gaskets, rings and seals, and stop using faggot oil in Miami. Man up and use 20/50.

Eddie, i haven't really been into cars in a while lol, i do the usual maintenence.

Hopefully it is the head gasket, or else it'll be a long day working that out or i dono. The real question is how harmful is this gonna be to my car in the long run? This actually have been happening for about a month only.

*edit* actually lemme reword that, the blue smoke has been happening for about a month but maybe like once or twice a week. However this issue after the oil change has been happening the 2 mornings in a row after the oil change.

Double check your oil level.If it got way overfilled by accident it will smoke alot.
