Captcha Request
When I've tried to go to Penny-Arcade the site seems to throw up a captcha request page. I have no idea why it'd do that, but I have other people within the same building and on the same network who don't seem to have a problem with it.
I just want to know if my work computer may have some sort of virus I know nothing about.

Can you do a screen shot? I'm not seeing anything.

I occasionally get the same when browsing BG on my work network. I think it's nothing to worry about but the site might think you're a bot/crawler.

Okay. I'll keep an eye on it then. If it happens again I'll grab a screen capture and upload it.
It just seems odd that it's not happening to other people within my building at the same time. We're all on the same network so I would think we all have the same IP to the outside. Feel free to correct my broken concept of how networks work.

Did it look like this? I made a post on it I found:

Caithenn gave a helpful reply: http://www.bluegartr.com/faqs/bg/49-...le-browsing-bg
edit: just realised you meant Penny Arcade, not BG
sorry

That is almost the exact same thing. I will do more than just fill out the captcha next time I get it then.

There were some virus scares on our network lately, maybe that's what's causing the problem. I don't think my computer is infected, but if someone elses it apparently it can flag it for the entire office.

It's not PA nor BG, it's Cloudflare. Cloudflare provides different security settings and if enabled, it will show a Captcha if your IP/ISP is a source of heavy spam or similar malicious activity: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en...-site-visitor-
It could also be that PA decided to set their security settings to "I'm under attack" which triggers it for pretty much everyone: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en...ttack-Mode-do-
I'd tell your IT department that you're triggering the Cloudflare Captcha, so they can further inverstigate your network, just to be sure.
