If you're going to work in SEO, you're going to have to live with the fact that 99% of your industry is a scam, even if you aren't, and people are going to treat it as such. People don't appreciate your blatant grab for free advertising in a forum that's supposed to be about buying videogames and spare computer parts from other people, so it helps even less that they have no real good reason to see it as legitimate given the track record of that business model. That's all I really have to say about the issue as an admin. As me personally, I think you're just full of shit and selling a bill of goods, but A) I'm not the one taking action on this, B) I don't let it affect my judgment of the situation. Now kindly just stfu. You've registered your complaints and you aren't going to sway anyone's opinion by spouting the same argument over and over.

The argument is not coming from "well, 99% of the people scam," the argument is coming from a total lack of understanding as to what SEO is. And I totally disagree with your figure. I've shown examples of this method making money. If people dont see it as legit, there's nothing I can do about that, but I don't think that the thread should be locked. I dont see my situation any different than anyone elses. While it is true BG is a video game forum, a lot of people here run blogs and sites regarding their LS, guild, or experiences in game and use ads just like Bg does to justify the costs of those sites. This was something directed at those individuals specifically, so its not a totally unrelated service. I perhaps could have explained the methodology behind it a little bit better in the original post and maybe Sonomaa wouldn't have misunderstood, but I figured "Not bots, real people" would have been enough to indicate its not spam. You're right though, public opinion is swayed due to what a mod has said, which turned out to be incorrect. $5 is not a lot of money for the service I offered. So the only thing really lost here was respect for the admins here, which is amazing. You guys seem really caught up on BG's popularity and you're trying to run this site like it matters, when its just another gaming forum. Admins are here to stop people that are blatantly trolling or breaking rules and I done neither of those, so I feel like there has been a massive injustice here. That is why I'm slightly pissed off about this entire thing because it should have just been left open and if people didnt like it, the thread would die. But now I'm pissed off, you're pissed off, and so are several other people over a $5 service. Christ, whatever. I'm finished with it. Let the shit die.
