How to not get banned by association?

Hey guys, I'll be direct, I got banned from XI a few months ago for flee hacking. I sucked it up and started playing XIV for awhile which really isn't providing me with any enjoyment what-so-ever. I'm wanting to start over again in XI since getting back into the flow of things is pretty easy thanks to abyssea, but I'm well aware that accounts that share the same information as banned accounts get banned by association as far as I've read.

So basically what I want to know is, what information should be different this time around in order for square enix to not catch my next account? Do they track it by matching credit cards? addresses? or just the name on the account? (which would be retarded considering there are some people around the world that share the same name.) If anyone could shed some light on this for me I would greatly appreciate it, thanks guys!

In order to avoid a repeat of your experiences with SE, I recommend using this thread to ask your question. This is for your own good and most posts to follow will repeat what I have stated in some form.

I'd mostly worry about the fleehacking again getting you banned. I know some people were unable to use the same credit card as a previously banned account, but that is not always the case.

    Oh also random question thread.

If people have relevant information/experiences they want to share, we can keep this open. This isn't quite a THE ANSWER IS MATANGO AND ONLY MATANGO situation, so perhaps someone has some direct information on the subject.

    Act like I-- LISTEN HERE.

Anyway, as I said, if people have Salvage-ban startovers that can fit with this circumstance, feel free to chime in.

Personally, i have done a ton of events with people who fleehack all the time and have yet to be banned. If you are going to fleehack again, you should probably be very subtle about it, because thats really the only way you're gonna get caught is if a GM catches you(somebody correct me if im wrong here) or you're going so fast that the server sends red flags up.

Flee hacked for several years, got caught going at Flee speed (which usually doesn't raise any flags). Either someone reported me in advance and they were investigating me already or I just got extremely unlucky.

This is hearsay but in relation to what aurara said I've heard of triggering red flags by running across a zone too fast from entrance>exit.

My account was banned back in December and I was told by someone that SE bans the credit card, so on the account that was given to me in January all I did was change the credit card and I've been fine up to now

you can just buy crysta now to pay for subscription.... I dont think they block your paypal account thats assiociated with ur card...that will be alot of work and i think SE will rather use that time to focus on grounds of valour

You can always change address i think and etc personal info if your worried....

As for ingame ban-conditions...i dont think anyone got a clue as STF atm kinda been slacking and havent really ban people recently.... but if u still wanna hack the game after already being banned before....idk what to say your crazy XD

I pay with the same CC I got banned on. Same name, everything. SE hasn't CC banned in a long time.

I started over within a month of the salvage bans. I had moved, so changing the address was something I needed to do anyway. I had bought a prepaid Western Union card to pay for my character, didn't want to take any chances.

If trying to zone too fast sends up a red flag then the person monitoring them at SE HQ must be colour-blind.

If you flee hack and try to zone some of the time you will get a server error, did this many times while camping ixion/sw, as far as changing any information its not needed, they don't care you can get banned x5 and put all the same information and still play.

I flee hacked for years, imo the only way you can really get banned is if they are already investigating you (reported before), or make the mistake of running past a GM and he sees you.

Concerning zoning too quickly and getting error messages; this flags your account for investigation and they will possibly jail you as well. They added this when they first began doing monthly bans years and years ago. From experience, you can reuse a credit card that was used on an account that was previously banned. The only issues I've heard with credit cards getting someone banned, is if it is being used on multiple accounts simultaneously and one of those characters gets banned.

It's not from running across the zone too fast (as in a timer) but rather the server checks what your movement speed is at the moment you zone, gives you a "You cannot move to this area" Message and spits you back out in the same zone. This only happens at zone lines and not during special zone events (entering a maw, teleporting, warping cutscene zone etc). Logging off and back on allows you to zone properly. That said, both of my characters have been "flagged" twice for this and thus far nothing as come from it.

Myself and others who have had this happen dozens of times over the years (sometimes several times on a given day) across multiple characters and have never gotten so much as a slap on the wrist beg to differ. There's no way in hell it flags your account unless I and everyone else who's never been punished for zoning too fast all got incredibly lucky time and time again.

That's not true, I've tried slowing to normal speed before zoning many times and still gotten spat out.
