Washer stainless steel hose issue

So I came downstairs to leaked stainless steel washer hookups that are less then 5 months old. Upon further inspection there are several places that looked burned not ruptured.

I will post pics when I get home, was just curious if anyones ever experienced a similar failure in hoses.

Was best buy, but it doesnt explain why they would burn.

Sure it does. Improper installation can cause all kinds of crazy problems. I don't know anything about washers in particular, but some use hot water, right? it's conceivable that they used the wrong hose and it couldn't take the heat, or that they hose was resting too close to something else, like electrical wires, and got burned that way. Or they may have been defective before they were even installed.

Like I said, have a chat with them. With receipts.
