Some servers are super full, and yet more people are coming to join them

How does SE deal with that ?

I don't know how's the legacy servers situation, but the situation on some non-legacy like Moogle is pretty bad. Yet, some people will start on Tuesday and want to join their friend there, where SE has restricted the creation of new characters. How do you deal with that exactly ?

You can't ask people to start elsewhere where their friends are not, you can't ask the friends to start over somewhere else after leveling like mad men during P4 and EA. Well, technically you could but it would create such a shitstorm and I think SE can really do without that kind of noise after the chaotic EA.

Realistically, can SE add hardware to their servers to support more people ? Is it a bad idea anyway since you don't want servers with 2x the population some other servers have ?

Early and free server transfers for people on crowded servers ? I know we'll be allowed to transfer in 2 to 3 weeks, for a fee. In this case however it would be understandable to be allowed to transfer for free.

Not sure how SE plans to manage the whole servers full situation, but Tuesday is going to be interesting.

If they don't allow some sort of one time transfers I'm going to be pissed. I didn't care @ phase 4, but unless they open the servers to more players once the game goes live I'll be upset that I won't be able to play with friends until they fix the bullshit, and that I'll be forced to restart.

I wish they'd consider using world passes so people would only be able to join the super high population servers if they already had friends there. It'd drastically limit the amount of people that would join the server and not ruin the game for thousands of people. My buddy has been trying to make a character on Gilgamesh since the beginning of Phase 4 and hasn't been able to. He bought the game to play with his friends, there should be some way to accomplish this besides waiting an undisclosed amount of time.

Me and my friends just left Gilg and went to Adamantoise due to the overpopulation. I wish there was an indicator at least for how high pop the servers are when selecting one. All of this shit is just bittersweet, as the game has taken off with more people then were expected but at the same time it's ruined it for others because they didn't expect this many people playing it.

Yeah I have a friend going to join at launch but it seems like he won't have a ghost of a chance to get into Hyperion.

Free transfers to new/less crowded servers would be nice, but I think they'd really benefit from a world pass system of some kind in tandem with it. It wouldn't serve to see new servers get swamped too, and LSes/FCs get even more split up than they already are because some members were at work/hadn't gotten the game yet/etc.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think they should lock the currently overbooked servers immediately at launch and open brand new servers to accommodate newcomers. Then once the dust settles, merge servers and allow transfers should space allow it.

Yeah, I think this would have been the right idea. Set up overflow servers specifically so that during the mad overpopulation rush people have a place to play even if it's without their friends, but knowing for sure they'll be able to get their characters together with their friends' eventually.

I got the "World is full" with no queue message at one point yesterday. Other than that I have been okay this weekend. The problem is I have a few friends that have been unable to make characters the entire weekend that are now going to a different server if they can't get on by tomorrow evening. Sucks cause I wanted to play with them, but I'd rather stick with my current character and LS.

Yeah, most of us have made it on Levi but one dude is stuck and can't make characters which sucks. I think he is planning to roll on different server and pray fo free transfer.

In the same boat....hopefully I can get a transfer over to them soon, or whenever they implement is...problem is...i promised to help them get started since i've been in beta...boy are they in for a treat.

Got to play for 45 minutes today, which is the longest I've been able to play since the game has been released, and I randomly get kicked. I've now been spamming logging in going on 30 minutes now, and have yet to be queued once. I don't know why I would ever pay to play this game since I either can't log in, ever, or I just get kicked randomly and then cannot log in.

Sega actually made a announcement on Phantasy Star Online 2 on their JP servers when the first two were getting extremely overcrowded. They basically locked out the populated ones and made it to where you had to go to the less populated ones. They did however give you incentives for going to the less populated ones.

I'm wondering if I should just start over on a new server instead of sticking with my legacy character on Hyperion. The only classes I have over 20 are 40pgl, 35wvr, 34ltw, 29arc, and I never got far enough in the story to get the legacy intro. Really all I was keeping was a couple hundred K gil and a goobbue mount. I feel I'm way behind anyone on a legacy server, but I guess people on the new servers have been running wide open for 2 weekends now (assuming they could log in).

I'm bummed about the server situtation. I want to be on Gilgamesh because someone I know is going to be on it and a lot of BG people are going to be on it too. I was going to go pick up the game for PS3 tomorrow but now I don't know. I mite just wait till they fix this and I can get on the server I want.

Same situation here. Everyone I want to play with is on Hyperion, but I haven't been able to get on there to join them so I'm stuck on Behemoth until this crap is resolved.
