Die a lot?
I reckon a sword will wear down quicker than an axe, leaving them both to auto-attack for predetermined time.
GCD will even it out, however, auto-attack has its own timer present between GCD.
Not to mention, some abilities cut off sooner/longer than others, giving more/less time when auto-attack is present.
Set home point in high level area, switch to low/mid level job, unequip everything except weapon, die many times?
HPing doesn't knock off nearly as much durability as it used to, it's only a few % points now I think (used to be 10%).
Probably still the fastest way tho.
Each death is 2% iirc
They should really knock it up to at least 5%. A measly two percent to me means I should just D3 instead of waiting on return cooldown.
Thanks for the replies. Used the HP method because dungeon runs weren't as quick. Kind of lame that this is required if you wish to test (Takes a while), but understandable that they don't have such a feature readily available.
You can break a weapon (and all your gear) in 10 minutes by spam tagging the Dark Devices mobs. Might be hard to do now with everyone and their mother farming it, but I used to break my gear every time it was up.
