    GC: can't get promoted to the 3rd group of ranks (2nd Storm Lieuteneant+)

    I'm talking about the rank that gives access to the Lv 50/7k seals weapons.

    I've already completed hunting log Rank 2 (Maelstrom) but the Commander at the HQ isn't giving me any "trial" quest (the one the promotion NPC is talking about), dunno, might've picked it up a few days ago without paying attention, problem is that the quest doesn't show up anywhere, neither in my journal nor on screen so I'm stuck, what's up with that?

    Is this a bug or what?

    Have you completed the main story yet? If you haven't then you can't get promoted to the final tier. Once you do so, you'll get a quest from the Commander off to the side of the counter that will send you to Ampador Keep. Once you complete that, you'll be able to apply for promotion.

    On the subject of final promotion, once you get there, you can switch to different GCs to rank up there as well, which I want to do. However, I'm wondering if I'm still able to wear my old GC gear. I'd hate to waste my free app to another GC just to find out i can't wear old GC armor and have to find replacements while i rank up in the new GC. Can anyone confirm if you can or cannot wear armor pieces from other GCs if you arent currently affiliated with them?

    If you aren't affiliated with a GC you can't use their gear. This resulted in my DoL being pantsless and my badPLD being shieldless for a while since they were Maelstrom pieces.

    This is the worst. I have quite a few inventory-fillers because of this. I used a bunch of random GC pieces on my DoL/DoH and half of them are locked out now.
