Merry Christmas y'all. One of my first gifts was a sweet ass chef's knife fashioned like a Tanto.

Now I can put the Chiefs' season out of its misery later tonight.

For 3 years, I've made everyone aware of how bad I want a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. This year, I resorted to using AI to insert the dog into old photos I expect this will be another year my family disappoints me.

Step mom got me a fifty dollar doordash card for my upcoming surgery, a twenty dollar steam gift card, wine, and some shirts

Step sister and her wife got me Farkle (a dice game) and some whiskey.

Step Brother got me some wine and a six pack of beer from the brewery he founded this past year

Good friend of mine got me box set 1 of the sailor moon manga

Had to go cheap with alcohol as gifts as I was supposed to be laid up from surgery and was told to not worry about gifting. But since it got postponed, got my step mom a Spanish wine gift set (her and my dad's honeymoon was Spain), step sister and wife I got them a twelve days of cocktails set, and since step brother is spending a bunch of time golfing to make connections for his brewery, got him a box of golf balls

My wife got me new Gunpla (ZZ Gundam Ver Ka) and 2 new pair of work boots.

Gunpla added to the backlog and it was perfect time for new work boots. AZ heat is horrible on boot soles in construction.

I got my wife a new for her garmin watch (a forerunner 265) to replace her 5 year old clunker venu sq music

She got me a set of Mario, Luigi bowser, and peach pint glasses from the Nintendo store (they're so sweet), a book about Lazarus lake (Barkley marathon race director), and some wool toe socks.

And we've both had the flu for over a week and we're sick of being sick

I got the second volume of the FFXIV cookbook, a new hair dryer (thank you Joanna!), the Chronicles of Light, and a phone holder for mah car. (really needed the hair dryer and the phone holder; I use my phone for a GPS)

Gave: Knitted stuffed kittycat, a crocheted teddy, a crocheted sheep, and a knitted snake door draft stopper. (Made all that.)

Our big family gift this year was a 3D printer. We've been keeping it secret from the kids for over a month, while printing things like annoying gift boxes (you have to take screws out to remove the ribbon and open the box) to be able to have a fun reveal for them. After the reveal, my daughter cried about how we kept it hidden for so long, but I think she was really just overwhelmed by that point.

Baby got lots of fun things for his interests, including a monster truck track set with a launcher. He had a great time being a little helper all day, passing out gifts and helping bake. Great time all around. Would do again

I got mostly what I asked for. Lots of house supplies for my new home. Pots and pans, drying towels for dishes, swiffer/mop, shower racks. Got my normal clothing stuff too like my sweatpants and tshirts my mom/brother always get at Christmas. This years theme was a FFXI shirt with a tonberry offering to blood warp me, and a pair of sleep pants with cats on it.

Also spent about 4 hours building a kitchen/dishwasher/fridge set for my niece(going on 3) lol, honestly my niece and nephew were the big winners as it should be with age, loved seeing them so happy.

She also got a little purse and some stuff for it from a friend and my mom was talking to me today about how she was going around the house with her purse asking “where are my car keys/where did I leave my keys?”, and that was a funny story because I know for 100% certain she’s mimicking my mom (her grandma) in this scenario because she’s always misplacing things lol.

My mom got me a new video doorbell with AI to filter alerts for animals, which was much appreciated because I currently have a family of outdoor cats constantly playing around on my patio setting the previous one off at all hours of the day and night.

Step dad got me a really nice Wahl groomer that uses USB-C so I can finally throw away the bucket of random proprietary shaver charging cables in my linen closet.

Grandma got me a gift card at a local farm butcher which I got a huge haul of beef with to put in my deep freezer.

Got some Steam games from friends.

Got myself a Wagyu A5 ribeye loin about 4lb. Gotta figure out how to cut it into smaller steaks without thawing it out...

Lastly got a letter from my uncle expressing his profound disappointment that I'm not married yet, that it's the biggest mistake of my life, and that he wonders if he was right to think I was gay. Haha. I got him a rice cooker. Hope he enjoys it.
