fingers crossed but the franchise has been a fuckin disaster since 4, which wasn't greatttt itself. Bloober did work on the remake but very cautious the series had burned fans for 20 straight years before that (ALL DUE RESPECT TO SHATTERED MEMORIES)

The change of setting will make it feel fresh at the least. Just will have to see what the gameplay is like.

Was it that bad? I've played every SH outside of that and Downpour. Well, and the remake of SH2 which I don't feel the need to play.

Liking it a lot so far. Phenomenal, fresh new SH atmosphere. Those grading it 7 for battle system are baffling me, combat is definitely a secondary aspect of this game and for other games they usually cut a point or max 2 for such.

as you were my SH2 Remake homie and Mortismal and Skill Up both strong recommended it based on vibes and story i went in. so many god damn games this month, but an hour in and this is the good Silent Hill vibes ya. got absolutely zero idea how this rural Japanese town connects with Maine's Silent Hill insanity but lesgo

Yotei, FFT, SH, Silksong, FC26…this is an insane month really.

What I really love with this game is that it is completely independent from the main series so far. Fresh af, takes place in the same universe and that’s it. I absolutely love SH 1-4, all equally (well 2 and 3 maybe a bit more than others) but any additional game on that storyline would get repetitive, that side is a bit saturated. Probably the reason why attempts had been falling flat.

I can’t believe I am saying this but lately Konami has been making good decisions. Remake main series, and start an entirely new branch of rock solid storyline taking place in a completely different setting…good job man. Good job.
