Great now we wont even work out our hands.
Personally I think this has a lot of promise, as the applications outside gaming are immense to those who cannot do things on their own.
And if not, you don't even need to start your bot to claim fafnir now, you can just think it.
If I understand correctly, they analyse brain/body pattern when he want to move left or right, than build the "controller" who recognize those pattern and reproduce it?
I wonder if you would have to "callibrate" the thing for every brain, or if they all act in a similar fashion.
Damn, its pretty insane how fast technology moves, I remeber reading, about a year ago I think, something about how by the time we reach PS5 video game consoles will have as much power as the human brain. But this imagination controller thing is incredible, imagine playing ffxi and being able to punch gilsellers in the face?
I think more importantly, if we are not able to work out our hands constandly thru the use of video game controllers/keyboards/mouse/etc, that could lead to atrophy of the arm muscles and for guys, that could be detrimental forOriginally Posted by Ryko

GODDAMN THAT OTHER LS CAMPING FAFHOGG AGAIANST US.
I think this is a great idea, for those who have trouble playing games 'normally'. For those of us that don't have that kind of trouble, this seems kind of scary.
It does seem as though technology is moving crazily fast with this though.
p.s. Abunai, you're sig is hot stuff but make it smaller!!![]()
Wouldn't work for me, too scatterbrained. I'd always be the one running into walls, oh wait--i already do that.
LOL
I hope now that games are becoming more and more realistic that they don't implement losing health when you run your characters into a wall.Originally Posted by Jujubie

imagine if running in to the wall in game made you lose health irl!Originally Posted by Lbelle

My guess is the same way it reacts now, except you'd have your hands free for more recreational drugs.Originally Posted by Kross

Seems like a good way to brainwash people.
You'd have to be pretty scatterbrained to prevent you from moving your hand. Like, how are you typing?
Hmm, come to think about it, I guess some of the movements in game have become almost automatic, subconcious.Originally Posted by BRP
